BBC makes terrorists and rockets disappear as well as life-saving science, technology, and medical advances – is BBC (and BDS!) biased towards these advances as they are not from Palestine? Seriously? What happens when one of your own suddenly needs one or more of these advances? Deny your own because they are not Palestinian? Muslim? Other?

A Look At How Socialism Works: When the Carnet de la Patria (License of the Homeland) Is Your Only Life Line Option

I arrived before 7:30 a.m., and lost count of how many people were waiting, arriving and losing their patience.

Old and young, mothers (with babies) and paperboard on the floor, evidence that someone got there the night before.

At the Plaza Bolívar, a small group waited on chairs, heckled by the National Guard.

“You can’t be here, ma’am, move along” a soldier said to me.

“I’m sorry, but what’s this line is for?”

“The Carnet de la Patria.”

Crisis-wracked Venezuela Turns for Hope to Broken Factories

Juan Carlos Goite has to be creative, finding spare parts stripped from one broken-down locomotive to repair another in a desperate attempt to keep a once-thriving iron ore mining company running.

Dressed in a hard hat and oil-stained work clothes, the mechanic paces a dimly lit workshop strewn with salvaged train parts like motors, metal plates and hoses looking for the right piece.

In cash-strapped Venezuela, there’s no money to buy spare parts.
