Sessions Announces Hezbollah Financing, Narcoterror Team After Bombshell Report

The Department of Justice announced Thursday that it is creating a task force to take a fresh look at drug-trafficking and money-laundering operations linked to Hezbollah after an investigative report last month claimed that the Obama administration turned a blind eye to such activities to preserve the Iran nuclear deal.

The task force, dubbed the Hezbollah Financing and Narcoterrorism Team (HFNT), will begin its work by reviewing investigations stemming from Project Cassandra, a campaign led by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) targeting the Lebanese terror group’s actions.

According to a Politico report published last month, officials with the Obama Justice and Treasury Departments repeatedly delayed or rejected requests by Project Cassandra leaders to pursue significant investigations, prosecutors or sanctions.

Trump Should Kill the Iran Nuclear Deal, for the Dissidents and Protesters

It endangers global security and bolsters a brutal theocratic regime.

President Trump will make some important decisions this month that could not only end the controversial 2015 nuclear agreement with Iran but also convey America’s support for Iranian protesters and hasten the overthrow of Iran’s ruling mullahs.

By January 12, Mr. Trump must decide whether to renew a waiver of sanctions lifted by the Iran deal — i.e., the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action, or JCPOA.

The law requires him to make such a determination every 120 days.

How President Trump Saw the Iran Protests Coming

Months before the protests that are shaking the Islamic Republic of Iran began, President Trump stood before the entire world at the United Nations and boldly declared that the terror regime would fall.

“The good people of Iran want change, and, other than the vast military power of the United States, that Iran’s people are what their leaders fear the most,” he correctly predicted.

As another day of protests begins, as the Islamist thugs of the IRGC face a choice between an outraged populace and a failing regime, his words in that September speech ring truer than ever.

Our World: The Iranian Explosion of Truth

If the Iranian regime is unable to brutally stomp out the countrywide protests raging through the country, and if the protesters achieve their goal of bringing down the regime, they will go down in history as the saviors of millions of people not just in Iran but throughout the world.

Given the earth shattering potential of the protests it is extraordinary to see the liberal media in the US and Europe struggle to downplay their significance.

Aside from a lukewarm statement on Twitter from British Foreign Minister Boris Johnson, as of Monday morning – five days into the protests – no senior European official had spoken in favor of the hundreds of thousands of Iranians marching throughout their country demanding freedom.

Iranian People’s Call for Freedom While President Trump – Unlike Obama – Sides With the Protesters

he Iranian regime is facing the most serious threat from mass protests in the streets since the failed Green Revolution in 2009.

What started out as scattered unrest over unemployment, rising food prices, costly military adventures and corruption has morphed into widespread anger at the country’s theocracy itself and its Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

While Iran’s figurehead President Hassan Rouhani called for calm and claimed that people had the right to protest under Iran’s Constitution, riot police have lashed out at demonstrators, some of whom were reportedly heard chanting “death to the dictator,” “death to Khamenei,” “we don’t want an Islamic Republic,” and “clerics should get lost.”
