It is worth noting that when Iqbal closed the interview, she devoted 40% of her questions to the promotion of the notions that Israel might be lying with regard to the purpose of the tunnels and that an operation to thwart an obvious threat to Israeli civilians might have baser political motives.
BBC World Service listeners however heard nothing whatsoever about the highly relevant context of Hizballah’s violations of UNSC resolution 1701 and the impotency of the UNIFIL force charged with overseeing the implementation of that resolution. [ link to the original posting ]

I have often posted about the total non-coverage of conflicts, battles, wars, and genocides during the last 50 years that have happened in Africa and the disastrous legacies in terms of human suffering resulting from those conflicts.
The Central African Republic (CAR) and the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) are 2 such countries that have literally been subject to genocides ignored by the BBC and other Western media outlets.
The total number of deaths is estimated at between 5 and 12 million as a direct result of indigenous conflict and 4 times that number of maimed, injured, and displaced humans.
I ask any of my readers to name the tribes, their leaders, the capital of either country, or any details about these conflicts and I’ll wager that ignorance reigns supreme.
So how bizarre having completely been disinterested in African suffering that on November 30th, 2018 at 5.15 am the BBC had two 20-second TV bulletins on both countries.
On CAR, it was about potential famine, and on DRC, about the Ebola virus.
Undoubtedly, the BBC would have reported on the previous genocides in these countries had one of the conflicting parties been white South African farmers or Zionists.
Unfortunately for the slaughtered indigenous Africans, these genres were non-participants hence the lack of interest from the ‘liberal’ world media.
It is unlikely they will report on the three hundred thousand Congolese beings ethnically cleansed from Angola as per the link below.
We shall hold our breath…
Ireland
I am receiving numerous comments and feedback from recent articles and posts that I have been originating regarding the anti-Israeli, antisemitic, anti-Zionist, and pro-Palestinian agenda of Irish Republican parties and their supporters.
The vast majority of the feedback has been globally supportive and a minority has been critical and vicious.
I connect the Irish Republican policies with those of their World War II Irish Government who exposed themselves as being pro-Nazi and I support such claims with sourced evidence.
Those most critical of my posts are in denial and hurl abuse calling me anti-Irish and xenophobic whilst others try to excuse the inexcusable.
I am informed that I don’t understand the anti-British feeling which should not be mistaken for antisemitism.
I do understand both and I also understand that antisemitism is deeply embedded within Catholic, Irish Republicanism’s DNA.
Historical facts are very unpalatable to those whose grandparents were guilty of such disgraceful behaviour.
The Germans have come to terms with their guilt, the Irish are still in denial, and believe their pro-Palestinian ideology is supporting the underdog of which they have been for centuries.
Not only does this display an ignorance of history paralleled only by rabid bigotry but it also defies belief regarding the underdog theory peddled from time immemorial by the Irish Republicans.
A review of the role the Irish played in the colonialism, land grab, apartheid, and genocide inflicted on the indigenous American Indians of North America will turn this emotional, continuously played myth on its head.
Israel/Arab Relations
There is no need to elaborate on the strengthening ties between Israel and her Sunni Gulf neighbours assisted by the Trump Administration and driven by natural trade and an anti-Iranian Shia alliance.
The last 3 months have witnessed an unprecedented rapprochement which shows every indication of an upward trajectory.

So, if I understand this correctly, the Israeli leaders, who were born in Palestine, are called/considered “Settlers” or more accurately, “Occupiers.”
While Palestinian Arab leaders who were born in Egypt, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, and Tunisia are called “Native Palestinians”???!!!
??? Makes perfect sense ?!!!
Pakistan
Imran Khan, the ex-cricketer, now President of Pakistan, was supposed to bring Pakistan at least into the 19th Century.
Unfortunately, it seems that he will play to the tune of the Islamists and Christians are in for a very hard time.
Blasphemy laws regarding Islam will not only stay but if he has his way, will be strengthened.
