POSTED BY PAUL MIRENGOFF, POWERLINE
I just saw Lindsey Graham on one of the Fox News talk shows.
He told the host, Brian Kilmead, that the infamous anti-Trump dossier was used in court by the Department of Justice.
I take it Graham means that the dossier, or information it contains, was used by the DOJ in the FISA court to gain approval for surveillance of Team Trump.
We have suspected that this was the case.
Now Graham apparently has seen evidence that confirms our suspicion.
Graham made his statement in the context of calling for a special counsel to investigate matters relating to the dossier, an issue that, he noted, falls outside the purview of Robert Mueller.
Graham said that it has been very difficult to obtain information from the Justice Department, but that recently he discovered information that “bothers him a lot” and convinces him of the need for the dossier to be investigated by someone outside of the DOJ.
Graham didn’t say in so many words that the dossier was used to obtain a surveillance warrant.
However, he said that when the Department of Justice presents a document to a court, it has a duty to the court to be “up and up” regarding “what the document is about, who paid for it, and what their motives might be.”
Graham added that having looked at the history of the dossier and how it was used by the Department of Justice, he is “really very concerned.”
Putting two and two together,
Graham is saying that the DOJ was not “up and up”
about the dossier when it presented information contained therein
to the FISA court.
I don’t see how his statement to Kilmead can mean anything else.
I hate the idea of another special counsel.
However, Graham is right to be skeptical about the Justice Department’s ability fairly to investigate itself on a matter like this.

Reflections from Evangelo Morris
While our government officials and our military swear to uphold and protect our Constitution against all enemies foreign and domestic, all of us pledge our allegiance to our flag and to our Republic.
This stance means our soldiers protect our Constitution, the framework of our fundamental laws, our freedoms, our civil liberties, our governance, and everything within.
That results in our flag representing all of us - even for those that do things of which we do not like or agree.
That hardly means those that have a love of country as well as love for our flag are not hurt at any desecration, ill-intent, or abuse - that also hardly means that anyone can do as they so please without ethical, moral and/or legal ramifications.
As a result, our flag has become and earned its place as the most recognized symbol of who we really are - a mighty and strong nation as we operate in compassion, in accordance of our Constitution.
Reflections from Decisive Liberty
The following stance is stated in the final paragraph of the oration given for the unveiling of our Statue of Liberty on the 28th of October, 1886....
... there is room in America and brotherhood for all who will support our institutions and aid in our development; but those who come to disturb our peace and dethrone our laws are aliens and enemies forever.

We at Decisive Liberty are committed to this stance and welcome all - if you have not already - to join us in learning to live by this stance.
There are only two nations that have placed God within their Constitution and way of life - one was created by God for the people he loves, and the other was created by people who love God.
