REPORT: Trump replaces acting inspector general who was chosen to lead coronavirus stimulus oversight panel…

Trump has replaced the acting inspector general for the Pentagon, who had just been chosen to lead a group responsible for the oversight of the coronavirus stimulus funds, with the inspector general of the EPA:
POLITICO – A panel of inspectors general had named Glenn Fine — the acting Pentagon watchdog — to lead the group charged with monitoring the coronavirus relief effort. But Trump on Monday removed Fine from his post, instead naming the EPA inspector general to serve as the temporary Pentagon watchdog in addition to his other responsibilities.
That decision, which began circulating on Capitol Hill Tuesday morning, effectively removed Fine from his role overseeing the coronavirus relief effort, since the new law permits only current inspectors general to fill the position.
“Mr. Fine is no longer on the Pandemic Response Accountability Committee,” Dwrena Allen, a spokeswoman for the Pentagon inspector general’s office, confirmed. She added that Fine will return to his Senate-confirmed post as principal deputy inspector general of the Pentagon.

It’s important to note that Fine was only “acting” inspector general and was chosen for that position during the last year of the Obama administration. He had previously served as the inspector general for the Justice Department from 2000 to 2011, according to Politico.
While Trump didn’t indicate why he replaced Fine, the fact that Fine was chosen for both IG positions by Democrat administrations, first Clinton and then Obama, may have been a big red warning flag for Trump. Given all the problems that Trump has had to deal with from administration employees that were apart off the Obama administration, it wouldn’t surprise me.
Lawmakers were given notice Tuesday that Trump had designated Sean O’Donnell, the inspector general of the Environmental Protection Agency, to take over the Pentagon watchdog’s office in addition to his current post. That designation negated Fine’s appointment to the coronavirus oversight panel.
“Yesterday, the President nominated Mr. Jason Abend for the position of DoD Inspector General,” Allen said. “The same day, the President also designated Mr. Sean W. O’Donnell, who is the Environmental Protection Agency Inspector General (EPA IG), to serve as the Acting DoD IG in addition to his current duties at the EPA.”
Abend, who has been nominated to take over as the permanent Pentagon inspector general, is a senior policy adviser with U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
Also when you consider this, remember that Democrats in Congress, particularly those in the House, are on a warpath to defeat Trump in November. They’ve promised to investigate everything they can to that end. I don’t know why Trump is making these changes because he hasn’t said yet. But I suspect Trump may want to take away any potential that Democrats may have for trying to use his own administration against him in the run-up to November. And honestly, I can’t blame him. He’s been treated very unfairly by House Democrats and he knows the media will give them cover, as they have already. And you can bet that they will also try and use these IG removals as a scandal if they can.

BREAKING: Kayleigh McEnany to be new White House press secretary

It’s being reported now that Stephanie Grisham’s replacement as White House press secretary has been chosen and it’s Kayleigh McEnany:

JUST IN: Kayleigh McEnany is expected to transition from the Trump campaign and become the new White House press secretary.
Alyssa Farah is expected to be Director of Strategic Communications, multiple sources tell ABC News. https://t.co/ebP8jjdSy9

Kayleigh McEnany becomes the new press secretary for a president who sees himself as his own best press secretary https://t.co/suW02zAxK4
— Maggie Haberman (@maggieNYT) April 7, 2020

Here’s more from The Hill:
Kayleigh McEnany is leaving President Trump’s reelection campaign to serve as the new White House press secretary, two sources confirmed on Tuesday.
The former Republican National Committee spokeswoman and the current spokeswoman for the Trump campaign will take over for outgoing press secretary Stephanie Grisham.
McEnany, 31, has long been a fierce defender of the president in television interviews and through the campaign. She was a frequent presence on the campaign trail, appearing at Trump rallies and participating in events for the group Women for Trump.
A formal announcement is expected later Tuesday.
We reported on McEnany being one of the two Meadows was considering for the job. I didn’t realize the pick would happen so quickly.
The media is, however, already hating on McEnany, with many of them quoting her from times where she’s defended the president in TV interviews.

NY Times just gave the media a new conspiracy theory on Trump and hydroxychloroquine they will LOVE

As many of you know, the New York Times often writes stories that get parroted all over the news media and is many times the main source of their anti-Trump ‘scandal’ material. Well today the New York Times has given the media a new conspiracy theory on Trump’s advocacy of hydroxychloroquine that will no doubt be spread across the media far and wide:

“If hydroxychloroquine becomes an accepted treatment, several pharmaceutical companies stand to profit, including shareholders and senior executives with connections to the president. Mr. Trump himself has a small personal financial interest in Sanofi.” https://t.co/JSmuvM78aC
— Kyle Griffin (@kylegriffin1) April 7, 2020

That’s right, Trump is just trying to enrich himself and his big pharma buddies! That’s why he keeps pushing hydroxychloroquine so much!
Here’s more from the NY Times:
Day after day, the salesman turned president has encouraged coronavirus patients to try hydroxychloroquine with all of the enthusiasm of a real estate developer. The passing reference he makes to the possible dangers is usually overwhelmed by the full-throated endorsement. “What do you have to lose?” he asked five times on Sunday.
Bolstered by his trade adviser, a television doctor, Larry Ellison of Oracle and Rudolph W. Giuliani, a former New York mayor, Mr. Trump has seized on the drug as a miracle cure for the virus that has killed thousands and paralyzed American life. Along the way, he has prompted an international debate about a drug that many doctors in New York and elsewhere have been trying in desperation even without conclusive scientific studies.
Mr. Trump may ultimately be right, and physicians report anecdotal evidence that has provided hope. But it remains far from certain, and the president’s assertiveness in pressing the case over the advice of advisers like Dr. Anthony S. Fauci, the government’s top infectious disease specialist, has driven a wedge inside his coronavirus task force and has raised questions about his motives.
If hydroxychloroquine becomes an accepted treatment, several pharmaceutical companies stand to profit, including shareholders and senior executives with connections to the president. Mr. Trump himself has a small personal financial interest in Sanofi, the French drugmaker that makes Plaquenil, the brand-name version of hydroxychloroquine.

The article makes it sound like Dr. Fauci doesn’t approve of the use of the drug at all and that Trump is overruling him, but that’s simply not the case. Fauci has made clear that he supports the use of it. But at the same time, he’s not going to make any definitive statements about it until lab controlled studies are complete. Trump isn’t making definitive statements either, as he’s said repeatedly it may work and it may not. But there’s plenty of anecdotal evidence in this country and around the world that suggests the drug is successful against the coronavirus and Trump advocating it based on those studies.
But the New York Times is using this strawman controversy to call into question Trump’s ‘motives’, suggesting there must be another reason why Trump is advocating hydroxychloroquine. It can’t be just about saving lives, as he’s said many times. No, it has to be about lining his pockets and those of his big pharma buddies. It’s ridiculous.
And as to Trump’s “small personal financial interest in Sanofi”, it’s part of a family trust mutual fund.
Here’s a few responses to this stupidity:

Back in reality, the people who would really stand to gain are the hundreds of thousands hospitalized with Covid19 https://t.co/lJvjjdxVka
— Tom Elliott (@tomselliott) April 7, 2020

The American Media would happily watch you flatline as you turn blue from lack of oxygen on a hospital bed if it meant denying Trump any credit for approving a drug that may save your life. https://t.co/bfFlnn7uKu
— Jesse Kelly (@JesseKellyDC) April 7, 2020

Interesting lack of detail here.
When Kyle says Trump has a “small personal financial interest in Sanofi,” he means Trump has “indirect ownership of Sanofi through a mutual fund…. valued at less than $500.” https://t.co/UKpssNr7Lw
— Bongino Report (@BonginoReport) April 7, 2020

He owns a mutual fund which in turn owns dozens or hundreds of stocks and that is one of them. Along with thousands of other shareholders in the mutual fund. This is why no one trusts the media. It is complete derangement to claim this constitutes a financial interest. https://t.co/ag8J28yyof

BREAKING: Stephanie Grisham OUT as White House press secretary!

Stephanie Grisham, who took up the mantle of White House press secretary after Sarah Sanders resigned last year, is now returning to work for the First Lady again as her Chief of Staff:
CNN – White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham is leaving the job without ever having briefed the press. CNN has learned she is returning to the East Wing as first lady Melania Trump’s chief of staff as President Donald Trump’s new chief of staff Mark Meadows shakes up the communications team in the West Wing.
Meadows is currently considering several candidates for the press secretary job, including Trump campaign spokesman Kayleigh McEnany. The new chief of staff is also considering hiring Alyssa Farah, the current spokeswoman for the Defense Department, for a communications role, among others, two sources with knowledge of the situation told CNN.
Farah has held several roles in the Trump administration. After leaving her job as the spokeswoman for the House Freedom Caucus to become Vice President Mike Pence’s press secretary, she moved to the Pentagon last August. But this would be her first position in the West Wing. Farah has remained close with Meadows since her days at the Freedom Caucus.
Grisham, who still speaks with first lady Melania Trump on a daily basis, is returning to where she has spent the majority of her time in the administration, the East Wing.
Grisham did not immediately respond to a CNN request for comment.
CNN seems to be the main source reporting this, as everyone else reporting it links it back to CNN.

I should mention that last week Axios reported that Meadows was looking to replace Grisham with Farah (on the left in photo).

White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows has privately discussed bringing on Pentagon spokesperson Alyssa Farah or Trump campaign spokesperson Kayleigh McEnany as a new White House press secretary, two sources familiar with the talks tell Axios.https://t.co/0VMHLj9yCh
— Axios (@axios) April 4, 2020

Grisham responded to the report like this:
“Sounds like more palace intrigue to me, but I’ve also been in quarantine. If true, how ironic that the press secretary would hear about being replaced in the press.”
It sounds like Grisham had no idea that she was being replaced. If this wasn’t of her choosing, that may be why she refused to comment to CNN on the news.
UPDATE: I see Fox News now reporting this as well, just in case you weren’t sure if you could trust CNN.

Ted Cruz blasts MSM for giving Chinese government reporter a seat in the White House!

There was an exchange yesterday in the coronavirus briefing by the president where he was asked a question by a Chinese reporter. Trump quickly asked the Chinese reporter who she was with, trying to ascertain if she works for the Chinese government or not:

Trump grills a reporter from Hong Kong about who she works for and in an accusatory fashion asks if she works for the Chinese government (she says she doesn’t) pic.twitter.com/c9GJhckVDr
— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) April 6, 2020

The reporter responded that she was Phoenix TV out of Hong Kong and that it’s privately owned, not state owned.
In response to the tweet, Trump has every right to know who is asking him questions. And it turns out his suspicion that this reporter worked for the Chinese government was dead on.

Ted Cruz addressed this late last night in a mini-tweetstorm, explaining that Phoenix TV out of Hong Kong is indeed an entity of the Chinese government and blasting the MSM for allowing the Chinese government a seat in the White House briefings:

Phoenix TV has been waging information warfare in the US for yrs. They are nominally private but actually state owned. In 2018 I led effort to block them from using cutouts to spread propaganda. MSM should NEVER have given them seat at WH press conference. https://t.co/JswOrAwb8X
— Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) April 7, 2020

2/x From my letter to the FCC: “H&H Capital assists PRC companies with finding strategic investors from around the globe” and “work[s] with Chinese companies interested in buying U.S. companies or the Chinese rights to U.S. brands.”
— Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) April 7, 2020

3/x “…It was founded by Ms. Huo, who is described on the website as ‘native of Beijing’ who ‘has conducted in-depth research and analysis of major financial, legal, and business news including… key legal issues facing Chinese state-owned enterprises, among other topics.’”
— Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) April 7, 2020

4/x “…Radio Free Asia recently reported that Ms. Huo worked in NY as a correspondent for Global Times, which is owned by the People’s Daily, an official newspaper of the CPC, registered under the Foreign Agents Registration Act.”
— Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) April 7, 2020

5/x “…Phoenix Satellite TV US is a subsidiary of Beijing Phoenix TV, based in Hong Kong. The People’s Republic of China (PRC) exerts control over Chinese media and the control extends to Phoenix: in 2009 testimony to the US Economic & Security Review Commission on China…”
— Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) April 7, 2020

6/x “…Anne Marie-Brady…at Wilson Center said ‘Phoenix is nominally privately-owned; however its current main investor is the State-owned enterprise China Mobile.’ In 2016…Phoenix BROADCAST THE FORCED CONFESSIONS of 5 Hong Kong booksellers for violating PRC censorship law.”
— Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) April 7, 2020

8/x So to recap, the WH Correspondents Assoc gave a seat at the WH press briefing to an employee of the Chinese Communist govt, to ask globally televised Qs to POTUS, at the same time China is waging a propaganda campaign to hide their culpability & coverup of the Wuhan virus?!? pic.twitter.com/lJYjdqqEFe

WATCH: Steven Crowder calls NBC News reporter, confronts her about article on lady who drank chloroquine fish tank cleaner and it doesn’t go well…

Steven Crowder decided to call one of the two NBC News reporters who wrote the initial article on the Arizona lady and her husband who drank fish tank cleaner because it chloroquine in it, at the behest of Trump of course, and offer her new evidence that the lady was a Democratic donor who hated Trump and also really wanted to divorce her husband. As I suggested in the title, it didn’t go well:
[embedded content]

The reporter, Erica Edwards, was not even remotely interested in pursuing the story past the fake news that she’d already written. Every time Crowder offered to send her official documented evidence about this woman’s Democrat fundraising or of the arrest and divorce stuff, Edwards kept telling Crowder that this is a story that he should write.
Now just to be clear, Crowder was completely respectable and hardly confrontational until the very end, when Edwards made clear she didn’t care about the truth at all. And even then he was hardly confrontational, telling the reporter that it was her job to care about the truth.
Edwards ended the phone call by hanging up on Crowder, but then you probably could have guessed that.

Alyssa Milano BECLOWNS herself explaining her silence on Joe Biden’s sexual assault allegations…

You really should listen to this clip of Alyssa Milano explaining why she has been silent on the Tara Reade sexual assault allegations against Joe Biden. In fact she’s still completely endorsing him:

I explained my silence on the allegations against Joe Biden in this clip.
I am still endorsing @JoeBiden. Listen to this clip to find out why. #MeToo #TimesUp https://t.co/6v7udELEzv
— Alyssa Milano (@Alyssa_Milano) April 6, 2020

Here’s the audio:
[embedded content]
Just a couple of amazing highlights from Milano:
I’ve not publicly said anything about this. If you remember it took me a long time to say anything about Harvey as well, because I believe that even though we should believe women…that does not mean at the expense of not giving me their due process and investigating situations. It’s gotta be fair in both directions.
Can you believe those words actually came out of her mouth after the way she treated Kavanaugh? It’s hysterically hypocritical.
And then on top of that she claimed that she did her “due diligence” in speaking with Times Up, an activist organization who refused to take Tara Reade’s case last year, and suggest that neither they nor the media are jumping on the story because it’s not credible enough:
I did do my due diligence because part of it was that – the article that sort of stood out to me was that Time’s Up decided not to take the case. …I did my work and I spoke to Time’s Up and I don’t feel comfortable throwing away a decent man I’ve known for 15 years in this time of complete chaos without their being a thorough investigation. I’m sure the mainstream media would be jumping all over this as well if they found more evidence through their investigation. So I’m just kinda staying quiet about it.

This is absolute bull malarkey. According to The Intercept, who reported on this story in late March, Times Up refused to take Reade’s case because Biden was a candidate for federal office and it would have jeopardized their non-profit status:

this time to @TIMESUPNOW @TIMESUPLDF. As @ryangrim reported on at @theintercept, the organization said they couldn’t help her because Biden was a candidate for federal office & supporting a case against him could jeopardize their nonprofit status. Grim… https://t.co/ps2JZMsizb
— Katie Halper (@kthalps) March 25, 2020

It had nothing to do with Reade’s case being credible or not. In fact it likely had everything to do with Biden’s connections within the group protecting him:

also pointed out that “The public relations firm that works on behalf of the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund is SKDKnickerbocker, whose managing director, Anita Dunn, is the top adviser to Biden’s presidential campaign.” Not surprisingly, there were no witnesses to the alleged…
— Katie Halper (@kthalps) March 25, 2020

And of course we know why the MSM isn’t touching it. Joe Biden is their only possible hope of defeating Trump….
Milano then, on top of all of this, actually suggested “there’s something to the idea that people are going to weaponize #metoo for political gain”:

There is something to the idea that people are going to weaponize #metoo for political gain. Just look at the replies here and look to see who those accounts are supporting in the primary. There always needs to be a thorough vetting of accusations.
— Alyssa Milano (@Alyssa_Milano) April 6, 2020

Absolutely amazing. She has the gall to say this after the #metoo movement, which she participated in, was absolutely weaponized to keep Kavanaugh off the Supreme Court. She was there at the Kavanaugh hearings with Christine Blasey Ford! And yet now she wants to stay silent on the allegations against Joe Biden, not even demanding an investigation of the case?
Hypocrisy, thy name is Alyssa Milano!

BREAKING: Catholic Cardinal unanimously ACQUITTED by Australia’s high court over child sex abuse charges

Cardinal George Pell, who has already served over 400 days in jail for a crime he didn’t commit, has just been unanimously acquitted by Australia’s highest court of all charges:

BREAKING: George Pell has spent his last night behind bars and will walk free from prison in time for Easter after having his conviction quashed. #7NEWS https://t.co/t1cqjRqXHS
— 7NEWS Sunshine Coast (@7NewsSC) April 7, 2020

Here’s more from Daily Telegraph:
George Pell has been sensationally acquitted of all charges and is set to be released from prison.
Pell, 78, has spent 404 days behind bars after being found guilty of abusing two choirboys at St Patrick’s Cathedral in the 1990s.
But the High Court today ruled the jury’s verdicts, on four counts of indecent assault and one of sexual penetration of a child, were unsafe.
Pell is set to be released from prison imminently.
Cardinal Pell took his fight to the High Court after the Victorian Court of Appeal dismissed an earlier appeal in a majority ruling.
He relied on two grounds of appeal, centred on the argument that the jury that convicted had no right to do so in light of all of the evidence at trial.
Prosecutors have maintained that not only was the offending not impossible, the jury was entitled to its verdict based on the strength of evidence from the single living complainant.
Pell has vehemently denied any wrongdoing since being charged in 2017 following a lengthy police investigation.
He immediately resigned as Vatican treasurer and returned from Rome to Australia to face charges and clear his name.
Other claims were also unlikely, he said, particularly that the boys would have had access to altar wine, which was “always locked away” after mass.
“You could scarcely imagine a place that was more unlikely to be committing paedophilia crimes than the sacristy of a cathedral after Sunday mass,” he said.
This 45-minute police interview was all the jury heard from Pell.
But through their verdicts they preferred the evidence given by the complainant who sources who witnessed his evidence described as a wholly credible.
For much of his year in prison Pell was held in 23-hour lock down at the Melbourne Assessment Prison because of fears for his safety.
He was moved to Barwon Prison after a security scare in January.
Legal experts say Pell’s High Court appeal will go down as one of the most significant in Australian history, in particular in regards to what the court says about the standing of juries.

I don’t know much about the details of this case, but Patrick Madrid, who I listen to quite often, has maintained for a long time that Cardinal Pell was innocent based on his study of the case:

I firmly believe that Cardinal George Pell is innocent. It seems he is personally living out the late Cardinal George’s ominous prediction: “I expect to die in bed; my successor will die in prison and his successor will die a martyr in the public square.” https://t.co/WE36dj9rnt
— Patrick Madrid ✌🏼 (@patrickmadrid) July 20, 2019

That was from last July. Thankfully, Madrid was right and Pell is now a free man.
Below is the two page PDF from the high court of Australia announcing the decision:

Meghan McCain calls Trump a “totalitarian president”, claims he play off our coronavirus fears for HIS OWN BENEFIT

I don’t know what’s happened to Meghan McCain, but she sounds like she’s done a 180 on Trump, claiming that he’s been a “totalitarian president” and that she fears he’s going to use this coronavirus crisis to play off our fears and implement new policies for his own benefit.
Watch:
[embedded content]

I honestly don’t know what the heck she’s talking about. She literally said Trump has “always been a sort of totalitarian president in a way that we’ve never historically seen before”, but what does that even mean? As far as I can remember, I’ve never seen Trump act in any totalitarian way whatsoever. He does things I don’t always agree with, but totalitarian? I think she forgot what the word actually means because it certainly doesn’t apply to Trump.
She then claimed that she fears Trump is “going to play on the American public’s fears in a draconian way and possibly do something akin to the Patriot Act going forward where he uses this moment in time to play off our fears for his own benefit.” Huh? If Trump were even remotely a totalitarian president, then I could understand this fear. But what she’s saying sounds absurd. In fact she sounds like her leftist co-host who claimed the other day that Trump wanted to open up the economy in order to “line his own pockets”, caring more about his business than the lives of the American people.
These people are hysterical and it looks like Meghan McCain is being pulled in with them. Heck, before you know it, she might be praising Castro and voting for Bernie too.

CBS News ends up with egg on its face over Nurse who quit after not being allowed to wear own N95 mask

Last week a nurse claimed that she quit after being told she couldn’t wear her own mask in a Chicago hospital, and therefore she would have to work in the ICU without a mask:

In tears, a nurse says she quit her job after she was asked to work in a coronavirus ICU without a face mask: “America is not prepared, and nurses are not being protected” https://t.co/ywoSuLOPYP pic.twitter.com/S5BsnlO5nt
— CBS News (@CBSNews) April 5, 2020

There’s been a lot of claims made about this nurse and her story today, much of which I’ve been unable to verify. People were claiming her story was completely false, but offered no solid evidence as to why. One publication claimed the nurse had admitted that she hadn’t worked at the hospital in a year, but I couldn’t find any evidence of that either.
I felt like her story was dubious, but decided to wait until something more solid came out. Well now it has.
CBS News has finally done a little more digging and put out a clarification from this nurse, named Imaris Vera. Turns out her story was more complicated that she let on:

Imaris Vera, the nurse in this video, clarified her experience on Monday in a tweet: “We were each assigned 1 N95 per 1 covid patient’s room but was not allowed to wear it outside of the room, wear our own N95 mask around the Nurses station or Halls, which I came prepared with.”
— CBS News (@CBSNews) April 6, 2020

Well that makes a lot more sense. If you wear a mask into a room with a covid patient, obviously the hospital won’t let you wear the mask outside of the room for fear it’s been contaminated. So her beef was that she wanted to wear her own mask in the hallways, but was denied. I’m guessing the hospital declined her request because of sanitary reasons, because they don’t know where that mask has been because it’s outside of their controlled environment.
So it turns out this is far more reasonable than this nurse led everyone to believe in her initial video, which CBS News put out and failed to check.
The same nurse released a somewhat nutty video expressing her concern about coronavirus a few weeks ago:

pic.twitter.com/SdexS7F2oR
— Søren Flammen Wolff (@sorenwolff) April 5, 2020

That, along with the fact that she’s admitted that she’s dealt with bi-polar depression and anxiety, then I understand now why she quit.
Below are some responses to this ‘clarification’:

Think maybe this should have happened before you guys blasted her all over the internet? What you do think? https://t.co/ZIYtPkeMVP

BREAKING: Prime Minister Boris Johnson moved to ICU after coronavirus symptoms worsened…

It was reported this morning that Prime Minister Boris Johnson entered the hospital this morning after showing symptoms of the coronavirus over the weekend. Now he’s been moved into intensive care as his symptoms have worsened:
BIRMINGHAM MAIL – Prime Minister Boris Johnson has been moved to intensive care after his coronavirus symptoms worsened, Downing Street has confirmed.
Mr Johnson remains in hospital following his admission on Sunday with continuing coronavirus symptoms.
A Number 10 spokesman said: “Since Sunday evening, the Prime Minister has been under the care of doctors at St Thomas’ Hospital, in London, after being admitted with persistent symptoms of coronavirus.
“Over the course of this afternoon, the condition of the Prime Minister has worsened and, on the advice of his medical team, he has been moved to the intensive care unit at the hospital.
“The PM has asked Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, who is the First Secretary of State, to deputise for him where necessary.
“The PM is receiving excellent care, and thanks all NHS staff for their hard work and dedication.”

This is not a good sign for the 55-year-old Prime Minister but I do hope and pray he turns around quickly and gets on the mend. I’m sure he’s getting the best NHS can offer.
For the rest of us who are quarantining at home, it’s just further proof that we need to continue to take the coronavirus seriously and try to avoid getting or spreading it. In my own state we are getting close to 3,000 cases and we’ve already had 33 deaths as of today, that are spread all around the state fairly evenly.

WATCH: Gov. Cuomo affirms Trump is right, that hydroxychloroquine is yielding positive results in NY hospitals

Governor Cuomo affirms what we’ve been hearing from Trump about hydroxychloroquine, that it is indeed yielding positive results in NY hospitals just as predicted.
Anecdotally speaking, of course:
[embedded content]

Cuomo explains quite well why doctors are refusing to give official formal declarations about hydroxychloroquine’s effectiveness, and simply put the data set is too small because they’ve only had results from about two weeks of cases. Cuomo explains that doctors would like a significantly larger dataset which would span a much longer period of time before making formal statements about the drug, and they will have that at some point.
That said Cuomo makes clear that the drug, when paired with Azithromycin, is yielding positive results and that’s why they are going forward with it:
There has been anecdotal evidence that it is promising. That’s why we’re going ahead. Doctors, of course, have to prescribe it…but anecdotally it’s been positive.
Cuomo said that thus far they’ve had a 14-day restriction on how much hydroxychloroquine can be prescribed at one time, but they will be able to lift that restriction once the federal government sends them more from their 29 million dose stockpile.

“What ever happened to that phone call?” – Trump calls out Biden for no phone call and more…

Trump called out Biden for never making that phone call to Trump that he said he wanted to make over the coronavirus:

Joe Biden wanted the date for the Democrat National Convention moved to a later time period. Now he wants a “Virtual” Convention, one where he doesn’t have to show up. Gee, I wonder why? Also, what ever happened to that phone call he told the Fake News he wanted to make to me?
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 6, 2020

Biden doesn’t really want to call him. He only said that to try and foist his way back into the spotlight because he’s been sidelined so hard because of the coronavirus. An even though Trump said he welcomes the call, does anyone believe he really wants to talk to Biden? But I do like that he’s calling him out for not following through.

Also as you can see, Trump also called him out for wanting a virtual convention as opposed to a real one. Maybe this clip of Biden blundering about the economy and coronavirus in an interview yesterday is the reason he doesn’t want people to see him up close anymore…

What Biden said came out like this…
“But we cannot let this — we’ve never allowed any crisis from a Civil War straight through to the pandemic in ‘17, all the way around – ’16. We have never, never let our democracy sakes second fiddle… We can both have a democracy and elections and at the same time correct the public health.”
I know what he was trying to say there, but wow, Biden’s just not on his game like he used to be. Now granted I didn’t see the entire interview, but this isn’t the first clip of Biden blubbering about that we’ve heard.
That said, I don’t necessarily disagree with him in principle. We do need to get the economy going back again and we need to keep elections going too. I hope we can do something soon because where we are now can’t go on much longer without dire consequences.

Angry Democrat to refer Trump to the Hague for “crimes against humanity” over Hydroxychloroquine advocacy

A House Democrat from Ohio’s 35th district has had enough of Trump’s advocacy of Hydroxychloroquine and wants to refer him the Hague for “crimes against humanity”:

I can’t take it anymore. I’ve been to The Hague. I’m making a referral for crimes against humanity tomorrow. Today’s press conference was the last straw. I know the need for a prosecution referral when I see one. https://t.co/XQin24gqY4
— Rep. Tavia Galonski (@RepGalonski) April 6, 2020

This is what Trump Derangement Syndrome looks like. It’s absolutely absurd to even suggest something as horrible as “crimes against humanity” when the FDA and plenty of doctors are touting the success of the drug against the Coronavirus. It makes zero sense.

Former Intel community Inspector General releases statement on his firing, suggests it was politically motivated…

Now former intel community Inspector General, Michael Atkinson, released a statement last night on his firing by Trump, suggesting it was politically motivated:
THE BLAZE – Michael Atkinson, the former inspector general of the intelligence community whom President Donald Trump fired last week, spoke out on Sunday about his sudden ousting.
In a lengthy statement, Atkinson implied that Trump’s decision to fire him was politically motivated.
“It is hard not to think that the President’s loss of confidence in me derives from my having faithfully discharged my legal obligations as an independent and impartial Inspector General and from my commitment to continue to do so,” Atkinson wrote.
As you may recall, Atkinson was the IG at the center of the complaint against Trump’s phone call with Ukrainian President Zelensky, which turned into a partisan impeachment by Democrats.
At the time of his firing on Friday night, Trump indicated that he’d lost confidence in the IG but didn’t expand on his reasoning.

But on Saturday, as The Blaze notes, Trump did explain a bit further:
On Saturday, Trump explained he fired Atkinson for delivering the whistleblower complaint to Congress.
“I thought he did a terrible job. Absolutely terrible,” Trump said. “He took this terrible, inaccurate whistleblower report and he brought it to Congress.”
The Blaze also points out that Chuck Grassley is demanding more explanation from the president on why he lost confidence in the IG:
Both Democrats and Republicans were upset over Trump’s decision. Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa), the senior-most senator, said over the weekend that the White House must answer for Atkinson’s dismissal.
“Congress has been crystal clear that written reasons must be given when IGs are removed for a lack of confidence. More details are needed from the administration,” Grassley said.
Trump should provide more on his reasoning if Congress is asking. But I must say that I’m empathetic to the president on this one.
Given how much Trump has been unfairly and relentlessly attacked by the media and Democrats during his first term as president, as well as from those within his own administration and from those in the previous administration, even using the FBI and special prosecutor against him, I can’t blame Trump for being incredibly suspicious of Atkinson. I’m not saying Trump is justified in firing Atkinson because we don’t exactly know his full reasoning yet. But I do believe that even if Trump is wrong here, all those mentioned share the blame for creating such a toxic atmosphere around Trump that he simply doesn’t know who he can trust when these things go off the rails, and Atkinson was at the heart of the one attack used to try and impeach him.
That’s honestly how I feel. You an read the full statement by Atkinson below:

WATCH: Peter Navarro gets into it with CNN host over hydroxychloroquine dispute…

White House Trade advisor Peter Navarro was on with CNN this morning to discuss hydroxychloroquine and a dispute he reportedly had with Dr. Fauci over the effectiveness of the drug.
According to reports, Navarro got into it with Fauci after he suggested there isn’t scientific proof yet of the drug’s efficacy:
DC EXAMINER – The incident began when Commissioner of Food and Drugs Stephen Hahn started discussing hydroxychloroquine as a possible “game-changer” in the fight against the COVID-19 virus. Navarro then began passing out folders of data on the drug.
“And the first words out of his mouth are that the studies that he’s seen, I believe they’re mostly overseas, show ‘clear therapeutic efficacy,’” a source familiar with the conversation said. “Those are the exact words out of his mouth.”
Fauci, however, pushed back against the claim, saying the evidence of the drug’s effectiveness in treating the coronavirus was just anecdotal and that more data is needed. According to another source, Navarro pointed to the folders and said to Fauci, “That’s science, not anecdote.”
Despite Fauci’s public praise of President Trump’s China travel ban, the trade official rose his voice and told Fauci, “You were the one who early on objected to the travel restrictions with China.”
“It was pretty clear that everyone was just trying to get Peter to sit down and stop being so confrontational,” a source told Axios.
The president’s son-in-law Jared Kushner was able to diffuse the situation, but it left an impression on those present.
“There has never been a confrontation in the task force meetings like the one yesterday,” a person familiar with the argument said. “People speak up and there’s robust debate, but there’s never been a confrontation. Yesterday was the first confrontation.”
So that’s the backdrop and the subject of the CNN interview this morning, where Navarro and Berman go back and forth on the debate about the efficacy of Hydroxychloroquine:

This debate really seems somewhat silly to me. No one is saying we shouldn’t use hydroxychloroquine. In fact FEMA now has a 29 million dose supply of the drug that they are shipping to hospitals and doctors around the country. The debate, as we see in this interview, seems centered around the willingness for some and unwillingness of others to agree on whether it’s effectiveness is PROVEN. Of course it’s not scientifically proven yet and expert doctors like Fauci aren’t going to be happy until we have that. But we are seeing proof that the drug is effective in the field and via preliminary studies and that’s Navarro’s point, and it seems that he wants Fauci and others to admit that as scientific ‘proof’.
It’s almost like they’re getting caught up in a debate over the semantics of whether it’s ‘proven’ when everyone seems to agree, including the FDA, that doctors should be prescribing it for coronavirus patients on a case by case basis, assuming it’s warranted.
Lastly, the interview got heated when Navarro suggested that Berman was letting politics get in the way of wanting what’s best for everyone. It came at the end and wasn’t in the clip above, and I apologize for the small video capture but it’s the only decent one I could find:

‘Don’t you dare!’
CNN’s John Berman tells Peter Navarro for suggesting he wants PEOPLE TO DIE
Berman told Navarro that “we all want the same thing,
Which is people to get better.”
🔥“I’m not sure we do sometimes,” Navarro replied

Atheist Richard Dawkins is using coronavirus deaths to dunk on Christians and God

I have to admit I kinda dislike it when Christians try to say that a natural disaster is God’s judgement on this or that. Outside of where we’re literally told it happened in the Bible, it’s presumptuous and not very humble of people to pretend they know God’s will. However, this is the atheist version of that:

pic.twitter.com/myUXPjD6ji
— Richard Dawkins (@RichardDawkins) April 4, 2020

Yes, it’s a clever “gotcha” for atheists trying to mock Christianity and religion. But if God is literally willing the existence of every cell in our universe, then why does He owe us to be spared from a pandemic? Well He doesn’t. And, for all we know it could be much worse right now. Maybe praying actually made it better. There’s so many options that take away the rationale for the insipid “gotcha.”
But you need intellectual honesty, humility, and maturity to know that, and express it. Clearly, Dawkins doesn’t have any of those.

‘Corrected fake news!’ – Trump slaps down WaPo for spreading false ‘piracy’ story

El Presidente Trumpo highlighted a “correction” to a story accusing the U.S. of “piracy” when it comes to 200,000 masks that disappeared in Germany.

Corrected Fake News! https://t.co/1LISKyeVNg
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 5, 2020

What’s weird is if you click on the link, the story is completely gone? Is anyone else seeing this?

.@washingtonpost: “A #Berlin official, who accused the U.S. administration of “piracy” after 200,000 #masks for the city police went missing, backtracked Saturday and said the masks were ordered from a #German firm.” https://t.co/JfWfG0fXnn pic.twitter.com/6MqOUQh4s6
— US-Botschaft Berlin (@usbotschaft) April 4, 2020

I really thought the story was a little over the top when it came out, and it turns out my hunch was correct. From the New York Post:
A Berlin official who accused the Trump administration of “modern day piracy” after 200,000 masks for Germany went missing has backpedaled and acknowledged that the supplies were ordered from a local company — prompting a “Corrected Fake News” tweet from President Trump.
Andreas Geisel, the interior minister of Berlin’s regional government, said in a statement Friday that the shipment of masks from a US manufacturer made it only as far as Bangkok before being “confiscated,” media in Germany reported at the time.
He described it as “an act of modern piracy”
But Geisel clarified on Saturday that the order was placed with a German company and that they were reviewing supply chain issues, the Washington Post reported Sunday.
That’s a pretty big accusation to just toss out there and then walk back, but we see it all the time.

Also, China is a-hole and they are lying about their stats, so he’s not even accurate in his stupid mockery.

Pathetic: WHO confirms they ignored Taiwan’s very early warnings about coronavirus

Taiwan is the country to watch during the coronavirus epidemic. They claimed that they told WHO very early about coronavirus spreading person-to-person, and WHO ignored them. Now WHO is admitting they screwed up very badly:

Important reporting from @TheEconomist. @WHO has admitted it did not even REPLY to Taiwan officials raising concerns in late DECEMBER over possible human to human transmission in the Covid-19 outbreak in Wuhan. For fear of hurting WHO relationship with China. Answers needed. pic.twitter.com/YZmVvfZpxM
— Naomi Ackerman (@nomiackerman) April 5, 2020

Well. That’s problematic isn’t it. Taiwan knew it was an enormous problem in December but WHO ignored them and told the world isn’t wasn’t a big deal. Brilliant.
Self-governing, and Democratic, Taiwan is a threat to China and WHO would rather suck up to the communists than allow in a free country.

This is why this crazy interaction happened between a WHO expert and a journalist, which we have already previously posted:

Bruce Aylward of the World Health Organization refuses to answer any questions about Taiwan or why they’re banned from the WHO. China controls the WHO. pic.twitter.com/uLXGvuZne4
— Ian Miles Cheong (@stillgray) March 28, 2020

And if you want proof that Taiwan knew what they were doing, they have been able to effectively contain the virus because they know NOT to trust China or the WHO:
“Taiwan rapidly produced and implemented a list of at least 124 action items in the past five weeks to protect public health,” report co-author Jason Wang, a Taiwanese doctor and associate professor of pediatrics at Stanford Medicine, said in a statement. “The policies and actions go beyond border control because they recognized that that wasn’t enough.”
Also…
Among those early decisive measures was the decision to ban travel from many parts of China, stop cruise ships docking at the island’s ports, and introduce strict punishments for anyone found breaching home quarantine orders.
In addition, Taiwanese officials also moved to ramp up domestic face-mask production to ensure the local supply, rolled out islandwide testing for coronavirus — including retesting people who had previously unexplained pneumonia — and announced new punishments for spreading disinformation about the virus.
Maybe we should fire the WHO and make Taiwan our WHO. Taiwhat, we could call it.
Here’s a pretty great summary of why China and the WHO suck, and Taiwan is awesome:

When this is over, we need to draw closer to Taiwan and dump China….

USA Today fact-check confirms Obama did not replenish CDC national stockpile of masks

USA Today factchecked an article from Daily Wire claiming that the Obama administration neglected to replenish the CDC national stockpile of masks after dipping into it several times during his tenure.
During the presidency of Barack Obama, the national stockpile was seriously taxed as the administration addressed multiple crises over eight years. About “75 percent of N95 respirators and 25 percent of face masks contained in the CDC’s Strategic National Stockpile (∼100 million products) were deployed for use in health care settings over the course of the 2009 H1N1 pandemic response,” according to a 2017 study in the journal Health Security.
Again according to NIH, the stockpile’s resources were also used during hurricanes Alex, Irene, Isaac and Sandy. Flooding in 2010 in North Dakota also called for stockpile funds to be deployed. The 2014 outbreaks of the ebola virus and botulism, as well as the 2016 outbreak of the zika virus, continued to significantly tax the stockpile with no serious effort from the Obama administration to replenish the fund.
TO their credit, they confirmed it as true:
We rate this claim TRUE because it is supported by our research. There is no indication that the Obama administration took significant steps to replenish the supply of N95 masks in the Strategic National Stockpile after it was depleted from repeated crises. Calls for action came from experts at the time concerned for the country’s ability to respond to future serious pandemics. Such recommendations were, for whatever reason, not heeded.
Well that’s awkward. Of course, this doesn’t exonerate Trump of other claims that his response to the coronavirus outbreak wasn’t perfect, or could have been better. BUT, it proves you can’t put all the blame on the current administration and when he says Obama has to take some of the blame, he’s right. [h/t @SaintRpH]

Chicago man kills wife and himself because he believed they had coronavirus

This is very disturbing. A man is said to have killed himself and his wife because he thought they had coronavirus. From NBC in Chicago:
A man who killed his wife and then himself earlier this week in southwest suburban Lockport Township told family that he feared he and his wife had contracted the coronavirus, according to police.
About 8 p.m. Thursday, officers responded to the 400 block of Bruce Road for a wellbeing check and found Patrick Jesernik, 54, and Cheryl Schriefer, 59, lying dead in separate rooms of the house, the Will County sheriff’s office said. A loaded revolver with two spent shells and three live rounds was located near Patrick Jesernik’s body.
Family arriving to the home told police that Jesernik had been afraid that he and his wife had contracted the coronavirus, and that Schriefer was tested two days ago after stating she was having a hard time breathing, authorities said. The family said that to their knowledge, they had not yet received the test results.

That is just horrible. People are on edge, and there’s a lot of misinformation out there. More:
An autopsy conducted Friday found that Schriefer and Jesernik both died from a single gunshot to the head, with Jesernik’s death ruled a suicide and Schriefer’s death ruled a homicide, authorities said. Both tested negative for coronavirus.
The sheriff’s office said the majority of calls they have received during the coronavirus outbreak have been related to domestic disputes, but had never responded to a domestic incident at the address at Jesernik and Schriefer’s home before.
You just never know if mental illness was an issue, or what precipitated this. But it’s clear that being on lockdown is pushing some people over the edge.
Misinformation can lead to terrible tragedies. This is why we really try not to be throwing out ridiculous rumors out as if its real news. I wish more people were as careful…

Liberals are trying to cancel Joe Rogan again over what he just said about Joe Biden

Joe Rogan said on his podcast what is pretty clear to everyone – Joe Biden is losing it and shouldn’t be anywhere near the levers of power for the most important country on the face of the Earth:

His followers are rabid believers and they don’t give a damn who criticizes him. His sponsors are all fringe drug and health supplement companies that don’t give a damn about online mobs whining at them.
Joe Rogan is uncancellable.
And that makes this all the more enjoyable:

Unbelievable: China joins United Nations Human Rights group despite unleashing global pandemic

The commie government that was so utterly incompetent and deceptive about the global pandemic rampaging throughout the world is being rewarded by the United Nations.

BREAKING: #China joins U.N. Human Rights Council panel, where it will help select next world monitors on freedom of speech, enforced disappearances, arbitrary detention—and on health. @hillelneuer: “It’s like making a pyromaniac into the town fire chief.”https://t.co/E2vYfYcNcD pic.twitter.com/1UkF5T4MHU
— UN Watch (@UNWatch) April 3, 2020

Unbelievable:
China was appointed on Wednesday to a United Nations Human Rights Council panel where it will play a key role in picking the world body’s human rights investigators — including global monitors on freedom of speech, health, enforced disappearances, and arbitrary detention — in a move that has sparked protest by international human rights activists.
UN Watch had a great statement about this:
“Allowing China’s oppressive and inhumane regime to choose the world investigators on freedom of speech, arbitrary detention and enforced disappearances is like making a pyromaniac into the town fire chief,” said Hillel Neuer, executive director of UN Watch, a non-governmental human rights organization based in Geneva that closely monitors the 47-nation UN Human Rights Council, and a leader in speaking out at the UN for victims in China.
“It’s absurd and immoral for the UN to allow China’s oppressive government a key role in selecting officials who shape international human rights standards and report on violations worldwide,” said Neuer.
And also:
“Likewise, at a time when China has forcibly disappeared citizens who express dissent like the executive Ren Zhiqiang, who called Xi a ‘clown’ over coronavirus response — as well as  upwards of a 1 million Muslim Uyghur and minority group members — it is inconceivable that China would be allowed to influence the selection of the next member of the UN Working Group on Enforced or Involuntary Disappearances,” Neuer added.
“And how can China be involved in choosing the UN Special Rapporteur on the protection of freedom of opinion and expression, when the regime routinely imposes draconian censorship, and seeks to shut down dissenting voices?” asked Neuer.
“Finally, as the world is suffering from the deadly coronavirus pandemic that spread like wildfire in Wuhan while China silenced doctors, journalists and other citizens who tried to sound the alarm, by what logic can the Beijing regime be involved in choosing the UN’s next global monitor on the right to health?”
I really wonder sometimes how it was possible that Democrats and liberals a hundred years ago looked the other way as the Soviet Union murdered its citizen, but then also PRAISED the regime for their progressive values. As I see how the media is helping China cover up their crimes NOW, it becomes more clear just how it is that people can deceive themselves.

Ocasio-Cortez says coronavirus is racist, stimulus bill should be like reparations

Ocasio-Cortez just doesn’t stop, she just keeps on chugging with her vapid stupidity. Here’s her latest – the effects of coronavirus are racist because of course they are:

COVID deaths are disproportionately spiking in Black + Brown communities.
Why? Because the chronic toll of redlining, environmental racism, wealth gap, etc. ARE underlying health conditions.
Inequality is a comorbidity. COVID relief should be drafted with a lens of reparations.
— Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) April 3, 2020

Er. Yeah, about that. I mean, I will agree with her for about 5% of that statement. There is always a disproportional negative effect on minorities around this stuff, and maybe some of it is due to racism. Most of it is simply due to minorities being overly represented in poverty-stricken communities. But “reparations”? Huh?!
AND GET THIS – just a few weeks ago she was saying that it was racist to NOT GO OUT and help spread coronavirus to minority restaurants:

Ocasio-Cortez says people are not eating at Chinese and Asian restaurants right now because they are “just straight up” racist about the coronavirus pic.twitter.com/egtpRDEDhO
— Ryan Saavedra (@RealSaavedra) March 11, 2020

Here’s what she said:
“Honestly, it sounds almost so silly to say, but there’s a lot of restaurants that are feeling the pain of racism, where people are literally not patroning Chinese restaurants, they’re not patroning Asian restaurants because of just straight-up racism around the coronavirus,” she said during an Instagram Live session on Tuesday.
Gosh, it’s almost. As if. It doesn’t matter. What happens. She’s gonna. Blame it. On Racism. Is it just me? Am I losing my mind? I think so.

Breaking! Trump fires intelligence community IG and Dems are losing their minds

El Presidente just announced that he fired the dude that told Congress about the concerns over his Ukraine call that eventually led to the impeachment vote.

President Donald Trump has fired Michael Atkinson, the inspector general for the intelligence community who handled the whistleblower complaint that triggered Trump’s impeachment.
Trump informed the Senate intelligence committee Friday of his decision to fire Atkinson, according to a letter obtained by The Associated Press.
Trump said in the letter that it is “vital” that he has confidence in the appointees serving as inspectors general, and “that is no longer the case with regard to this inspector general.”
Atkinson was the first to inform Congress about an anonymous whistleblower complaint last year that described Trump’s pressure on Ukraine to investigate Democrat Joe Biden and his son. That complaint prompted a House investigation that ultimately resulted in Trump’s impeachment.

As you can imagine, Democrats are losing it:

Trump’s dead of night decision to fire ICIG Michael Atkinson is another blatant attempt to gut the independence of the Intelligence Community and retaliate against those who dare to expose presidential wrongdoing.
It puts our country and national security at even greater risk. pic.twitter.com/Pnm7chdIkl
— Adam Schiff (@RepAdamSchiff) April 4, 2020

Michael Atkinson is a man of integrity who has served our nation for almost two decades. Being fired for having the courage to speak truth to power makes him a patriot. https://t.co/Gl3JtewXL0
— Chuck Schumer (@SenSchumer) April 4, 2020

And some reporters too:

Late on a Friday night, in the middle of a national emergency, Trump fires the IG who deemed the whistleblower complaint about his conduct with Ukraine both credible and urgent. Atkinson was appointed by Trump in 2018 and previously served at DOJ for 15 years https://t.co/cFFYzYeU87
— Manu Raju (@mkraju) April 4, 2020

We’ll have to see how this turns out, but just like Biden tried to hide his endorsement of Trump’s China travel ban on a late night Friday, this seems also something they don’t want to bring much attention to…
Here’s where it all started, way back in September 2019, which now seems like ten decades ago.

Huffpost: Nancy Pelosi seeks new coronavirus bill because Dems know they ‘totally botched’ it

Even the Huffington Post is recognizing that Democrats “totally botched” the coronavirus response bill, according to their senior reporter Zach Carter.
Carter was asked about an article he wrote Thursday that suggested that disappointment with Congress’s handling of the stimulus bill is something both parties currently have in common.
“I think it’s pretty clear that leaders in both parties misjudged both the nature and the scope of this crisis when they were putting together this coronavirus package last week,” he said. “And you can tell they know they screwed up because they almost immediately started working on a new bill.”
Carter said Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) is calling the upcoming stimulus bill “phase four” of Congress’s response to the pandemic to hide that fact that it’s a “do-over” of the bill passed last week.
“Nancy Pelosi is referring to this as ‘phase four’ of the coronavirus legislative response as if there’s some sort of very careful, tactful initiative underway in Congress to roll out specific new policies as the crisis spreads but in fact what they’re doing is trying to get a do-over on totally botching the process that they attempted to launch last week,” he said.

It’s fairly certain that the bill will do very little to get us back on economic track. It’s just meant to help people to get along for a while as we figure out how far we’re going on this pandemic shutdown.
Meanwhile, some conservatives opposite any new bills to toss out cash:
Top conservatives in the House are cautioning President Trump against rushing to support a fourth coronavirus relief package, expressing concern additional stimulus legislation could have a detrimental impact on the nation’s debt and deficit.
In a letter spearheaded by House Freedom Caucus Chairman Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) sent to the president Friday, the lawmakers argued the bills recently passed by Congress aimed at mitigating the financial fallout from the outbreak have not yet fully taken effect, adding they believe calls for subsequent bills are premature.
“We applaud you for the heroic efforts you and the Administration have taken in the face of the largest public health challenge our nation has faced in over a century. Now that the CARES Act has been signed into law, we urge you to stand against the additional requests that are already circulating for a rushed fourth and fifth phase of relief,” they wrote.
I have a feeling that Trump is not gonna listen to them. He’s very much in the old FDR mode of erring on the side of spending, not on the side of smaller government. We shall see how it goes…

After two months, Biden backs Trump’s China travel ban in embarrassing Friday news dump

Yessir, it’s time for this week’s embarrassing Friday news dump, and it just came down the pike from poor old creepy Uncle Joe’s campaign! And it took two whole months to get here!!
Joe Biden’s campaign said Friday the former vice president supports President Donald Trump’s January 31 decision to ban foreign nationals who had been in China within the previous 14 days from entering the United States.
“Joe Biden supports travel bans that are guided by medical experts, advocated by public health officials, and backed by a full strategy,” Kate Bedingfeld, Biden’s deputy campaign manager, told CNN. “Science supported this ban, therefore he did too.”
Ahhh that is embarrassing LOL! He was for science before he was against it! Of course now they’re making all sorts of distinctions in order to explain away this change of heart:
The comment comes after weeks of Trump’s reelection campaign accused Biden of calling Trump’s travel ban xenophobic — though the former vice president never explicitly said as much. Biden’s campaign has said he was not referring to Trump’s travel ban, but had not clarified his position on the ban.

Not buying it, Joe. And they knew the American people wouldn’t buy it, which is why they dumped it on a Friday evening.
CNN quotes what he originally said two months ago:
“You know we have right now a crisis with the coronavirus, emanating from China,” Biden said then. “The national emergency and worldwide alerts. The American people need to have a president who they can trust what he says about it. That he is going to act rationally about it. In moments like this, this is where the credibility of a president is most needed, as he explains what we should and should not do. This is no time for Donald Trump’s record of hysterical xenophobia and fear mongering to lead the way instead of science.”
Sorry Joe, you lose this round!! At least it was entertaining…

More evidence points to coronavirus originating from laboratory in Wuhan, not ‘wet market’

There is mounting evidence that in addition to China trying to cover up the origin of the coronavirus in Wuhan, China, they might also be covering up that the virus came from a laboratory, not the “wet markets” as many assume.

There is a great deal of deliberately blurring the line between “engineered in a lab” and “originated in a lab.” There is no evidence this virus is manmade. There is considerable circumstantial evidence it may be natural but accidentally released.https://t.co/OrZ2FXpntW
— Jim Geraghty (@jimgeraghty) April 3, 2020

Jim Geraghty, despite being a Jets fan, is a fantastic political correspondent for National Review, and he really laid out all the reasons to believe that the virus came from a laboratory. It’s long, but it’s worth reading, and it is very alarming:
It is understandable that many would be wary of the notion that the origin of the coronavirus could be discovered by some documentary filmmaker who used to live in China. Matthew Tye, who creates YouTube videos, contends he has identified the source of the coronavirus — and a great deal of the information that he presents, obtained from public records posted on the Internet, checks out.
The Wuhan Institute of Virology in China indeed posted a job opening on November 18, 2019, “asking for scientists to come research the relationship between the coronavirus and bats.”
On December 24, 2019, the Wuhan Institute of Virology posted a second job posting. The translation of that posting includes the declaration, “long-term research on the pathogenic biology of bats carrying important viruses has confirmed the origin of bats of major new human and livestock infectious diseases such as SARS and SADS, and a large number of new bat and rodent new viruses have been discovered and identified.”
Now it is important to note that there is a YUGE distinction between the conspiracy theories that say China created a bioweapon on purpose to attack the West, and Geraghty’s contention here that there is evidence the virus somehow leaked from a lab.
Here’s his conclusion from all the evidence he documented:
Virologists have been vehemently skeptical of the theory that COVID-19 was engineered or deliberately constructed in a laboratory; the director of the National Institutes of Health has written that recent genomic research “debunks such claims by providing scientific evidence that this novel coronavirus arose naturally.” And none of the above is definitive proof that COVID-19 originated from a bat at either the Wuhan Center for Disease Control & Prevention or the Wuhan Institute of Virology. Definitive proof would require much broader access to information about what happened in those facilities in the time period before the epidemic in the city.
But it is a remarkable coincidence that the Wuhan Institute of Virology was researching Ebola and SARS-associated coronaviruses in bats before the pandemic outbreak, and that in the month when Wuhan doctors were treating the first patients of COVID-19, the institute announced in a hiring notice that “a large number of new bat and rodent new viruses have been discovered and identified.” And the fact that the Chinese government spent six weeks insisting that COVID-19 could not be spread from person to person means that its denials about Wuhan laboratories cannot be accepted without independent verification.
I think there will be more information coming out about this, but it doesn’t help that our media is looking the other way because this kind of inquiry could indirectly help their mortal enemy, Donald Trump.

Another CNN anchor tests positive for coronavirus…

First it was Chris Cuomo. Now it’s Brooke Baldwin:
WGHP – CNN anchor Brooke Baldwin says she has tested positive for COVID-19.
In an Instagram post Friday, she said she suddenly began feeling chills and aches and had a fever.
Baldwin, who has been broadcasting from CNN’s offices in New York City, said she had been following all the proper precautions. She explained that she has been social distancing and “doing ALL the things we’re being told to do.”
“Still — it got me,” she said, noting she is healthy with no underlying conditions.

She says she’s been following the guidelines and she still got it. I think that proof positive that everyone needs to be careful, especially around the vulnerable.
But like she said, she’s strong and healthy so she’ll probably be just fine. Maybe her and Cuomo can do a show together to talk about their crazy hallucinations. It’s gotta be better than the normal stuff they broadcast…

REPORT: John Durham investigation intensifies focus on John Brennan

It looks like John Durham is zeroing in on former Obama CIA Chief John Brennan in relation to whether he tried to pressure the intel community into their assessment on Russian interference:
DC EXAMINER – U.S. Attorney John Durham’s review of the Russia investigation is putting increased scrutiny on former CIA Director John Brennan, searching for any undue influence he may have had during 2017’s intelligence community assessment of Russian interference.
The top Connecticut federal prosecutor is looking into highly sensitive issues, including whether Brennan took politicized actions to pressure the rest of the intelligence community to match his conclusions about Russian President Vladimir Putin’s motivations, according to sources cited by the Wall Street Journal.
Officials said Durham has been interviewing CIA officials this year, zeroing in on those at the National Intelligence Council, a center within the Office of the Director of National Intelligence which oversaw the collaboration between the CIA, FBI, and National Security Agency in putting together the 2017 assessment, and looking at how the work product was finalized.
The 2017 assessment concluded with “high confidence” that Putin “ordered an influence campaign in 2016” and Russia worked to “undermine public faith” in U.S. democracy, “denigrate” former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and “harm her electability and potential presidency,” and “developed a clear preference” for Trump. The NSA diverged on one aspect, expressing only “moderate confidence” that Putin actively tried to help Trump win and Clinton lose.
“I wouldn’t call it a discrepancy, I’d call it an honest difference of opinion between three different organizations,” former NSA chief Adm. Mike Rogers told the Senate in 2017. “It didn’t have the same level of sourcing and the same level of multiple sources.”
Durham has interviewed Rogers and is also reportedly reviewing Brennan’s handling of a secret source said to be close to the Kremlin. The prosecutor wants to know what role that person’s information played in the assessment.

Steele Dossier…
Durham is also scrutinizing Brennan in relation to British ex-spy Christopher Steele’s dossier. In particular, the prosecutor is looking for answers on whether it was used in the 2017 assessment, why former FBI Director James Comey and former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe insisted upon it being part of the assessment, how allegations from the dossier ended up in the assessment’s appendix, and whether Brennan misled about the dossier’s use.
The Wall Street Journal reported that sources said United Kingdom authorities refused Durham’s request to interview Steele. The former MI6 agent also declined Durham’s request to speak, saying he and his business had already “done our duty” by cooperating with DOJ Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s investigation into alleged Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act abuses, which found glaring flaws with Steele’s dossier and the way the FBI used it to obtain warrants to wiretap Trump campaign associate Carter Page.
I don’t think any of us would be surprised at this point to find out John Brennan bullied the intel community into concluding that Russia tried to help Trump get elected. I am a little surprised though that the UK would protect Steele from Durham’s investigation. I would have expected better from UK authorities.

WATCH: Steven Crowder reveals bombshell, calls for criminal investigation into lady who drank fish tank cleaner

Steven Crowder reveals a bombshell regarding the now infamous lady who drank fish tank cleaner. Essentially, it’s that this woman has been wanting to divorce her husband for quite some time, even attacking him once, and this new fish tank cleaner story sounds very fishy in that context.
Crowder explains:

Crowder lays out the facts and calls for a criminal investigation into what happened. He speculates (and makes clear that it’s speculation) that it’s entirely possible this could have been a way for this woman to get rid of her husband. After all, it does sound very fishy…
He also says that he’s not interested in doxxing this woman and tells his audience not to do that. That’s not what this is about.

MSNBC Analyst: Biden camp SUPER frustrated he can’t get message out while Trump is on TV everyday…

MSNBC’s John Heilemann says that frustrations are super high in the Biden camp as they seem Trump dominating the airwaves during this coronavirus pandemic:
THE HILL – “Frustration levels are super high there,” Heilemann said during an interview on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” when asked about the feeling inside the Biden’s presidential campaign.
“The reality is that the former vice president is in a terrible position. In the sense that he doesn’t have a platform. He doesn’t have real standing in this crisis,” Heilemann said.
“So you look at, obviously, Donald Trump, who has the ability to dominate, for good or bad, has the ability to dominate coverage,” he continued. “He’s in the middle of the entire thing and will have this big platform and megaphone, bigger than ever. You also have governors, office holders, who are dealing with this on the front line.”
We hear the media talk a lot these day about not wanting to air Trump’s daily briefings, and I guarantee you this is the real reason why. They claim it’s disinformation and what not, but it’s really because his popularity has gone up and Biden is stuck in his basement unable to generate any attention.

Admittedly he is in a tough predicament. Elections have been canceled and moved and he can’t go out and hold rallies or gatherings during this pandemic to get his message out. Trump, because he is leading the response to this pandemic, commands attention every day from the public who want to hear more about what’s being done to get life back to normal and beat this coronavirus.
But don’t misunderstand. I’m not shedding any tears for Biden or Bernie for that matter. It is what it is, as the kids like to say. Things will eventually be back to ‘normal’ or some quasi version of normal and the election campaigning will continue.

“Washington STOP! You’re going to destroy the economy!” – Mark Levin

Last night on Hannity’s TV show, Mark Levin called for both the president and governors to loosen up restrictions on people and businesses that haven’t been affected as much by the coronavirus, warning them that if they don’t they’re going to destroy what’s left of the economy:
Watch the latest video at foxnews.com

Here’s more from Fox News:
“Life, Liberty & Levin” host Mark Levin called on President Trump Thursday to reexamine his earlier goal of re-opening parts of the U.S. economy by Easter Sunday, an option which has since been taken off the table.
“I’m hoping people in Washington are listening,” Levin told “Hannity.” “You cannot deficit spend your way into prosperity. If you could, Venezuela would be the richest nation on the face of the Earth.”
Levin said that Trump had a great idea the other day when he discussed opening up parts of the economy, but that he was then creamed by the media and even people around him:
“The media and the Democrats and some of his advisors, I fear, are boxing the president in,” Levin said. “The president a few weeks ago, I thought had a very good idea: Let’s look at the areas of the economy that we can open up.”
“I’ll give you a perfect example. We have food, we have heat, we have clean water. Who you think is giving that to us? Other citizens. Electricity, gasoline for our cars. Truckers, we have a mail service, UPS, FedEx, grocery stores, fast-food drive-throughs, all open, all functioning. We get soap and diapers and toilet paper, prescription drugs, 7-Elevens are open. Doctors, nurses, cops, firefighters, more, going into these hot zones despite the fact that they are exposed,” Levin said.
“I’m not saying drop all the conditions. I’m saying let’s get a little smarter about this. We don’t ask these businesses ‘Can you adjust to the virus? [Are there] things you can do?’”
There is no reason a small restaurant can’t be asked, ‘How would you adjust to this?’ Maybe they say, ‘We’ll take a few people, separate them out.’ There are certain things we can do. The American people and the American entrepreneur — and by the way, that includes small companies, not just GM and 3M, they are innovative. They are not asked ‘What can you do to stay open?’” he went on.
Levin warned of massive inflation and said these policies will destroy what’s left of the economy:
“Washington, stop,” he said. “You’re going to destroy the economy, what’s left of it. They’re going to create massive inflation. You’re going to be creating jobs that don’t exist and most of what you’re spending money on, by the way, does not create jobs…there’s a lot of real stupidity in these bills,” Levin continued.
“Don’t pass another bill. Open up parts of the economy. Ask these businesses what they want and tell these governors to cut it out.”
He’s not wrong and neither was the president when he discussed doing this. Trump needs to follow through and push these governors to start loosening their grip on the economy in their states. It’s so tight that I can’t even get haircut in North Carolina right now.

“Will have a big price to pay!” – President Trump says he hit 3M hard for not selling enough N95 masks to US buyers…

President Trump tweeted early this morning that he “hit 3M hard” after they were found to be giving foreign countries priority in N95 face mask sales over the US during this healthcare crisis:

We hit 3M hard today after seeing what they were doing with their Masks. “P Act” all the way. Big surprise to many in government as to what they were doing – will have a big price to pay!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 3, 2020

Here’s more via CBS News:
President Trump blasted the company 3M in a tweet Thursday evening, after invoking the Defense Production Act to force the company to produce face masks. N95 face masks are critical for health care workers on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic, and there have been issues with mask shortages.
“We hit 3M hard today after seeing what they were doing with their Masks. “P Act” all the way. Big surprise to many in government as to what they were doing – will have a big price to pay!” Mr. Trump wrote, referring to the Defense Production Act.
Mr. Trump announced during the White House coronavirus task force briefing on Thursday that he had signed an order for 3M to produce face masks.
“Hopefully they’ll be able to do what they are supposed to do,” Mr. Trump said, without offering details.
White House trade adviser Peter Navarro also said during the briefing that there had been “issues” with 3M not providing enough masks to American buyers.
“We’ve had some issues making sure that all of the production that 3M does around the world, enough of it is coming back here to the right places,” Navarro said.
3M didn’t care for the president’s announcement yesterday and released this statement:
In a statement responding to the president’s announcement, 3M said that “3M and its employees have gone above and beyond to manufacture as many N95 respirators as possible for the U.S. market.” The statement added that there would be “significant humanitarian implications” if the company followed the White House’s order to stop exporting masks made in the U.S. to Canada and Latin American countries.
“In addition, ceasing all export of respirators produced in the United States would likely cause other countries to retaliate and do the same, as some have already done. If that were to occur, the net number of respirators being made available to the United States would actually decrease. That is the opposite of what we and the Administration, on behalf of the American people, both seek,” the statement said.
3M said it was working to combat the “unethical and illegal” price gouging and unauthorized reselling of company products.
I don’t know if they are right or wrong about this, but for now they will be forced to sell these critical N95 face masks to American buyers. Hopefully that will help with the shortages of these face masks as this pandemic continues to get worse.

Today’s unemployment rate of 4.4% is old news and here’s why…

The jobs report came out today and it puts the unemployment rate at 4.4% after the economy shed 700k jobs:

JUST IN: March jobs report: 700K jobs lost; unemployment rate rises to 4.4% via BLS-Labor Statistics@BLS_gov
— KTVU (@KTVU) April 3, 2020

4.4% doesn’t sound all that bad, but many are pointing out that this doesn’t reflect the massive job losses we’ve seen in the last two weeks. Rather, these numbers point to about three weeks ago.

The actual unemployment rate, which includes the last two weeks, is much higher:

BREAKING: US economy lost 701,000 jobs in March, ending 113-month streak of job gains that began in late 2010.
Unemployment rate = 4.4% (highest since Aug. 2017)
**This data does NOT include most of the ~10 million layoffs from past two weeks**
True unemploy rate likely 10%
— Heather Long (@byHeatherLong) April 3, 2020

CNN’s business correspondent says the unemployment rate is more likely 10% to 13% right now.
— John Aravosis 🇺🇸 (@aravosis) April 3, 2020

The answer: The unemployment rate today — on April 3 — is 13%, it’s highest level since the Great Depression. pic.twitter.com/5kkS7Ttf4j
— Justin Wolfers (@JustinWolfers) April 3, 2020

I think it’s likely around 13% at this point as the econ professor above notes. I seem to remember Trump saying in one of his briefings that it could go as high as 20%. With the explosive amount of unemployment claims we’ve seen, we’ll probably get there in the next two weeks.

REPORT: Coronavirus expert says virus could have leaked from Wuhan lab

The Daily Caller has a new report out quoting a Coronavirus expert, Richard H. Ebright, who suggests that it’s entirely possible the coronavirus leaked from a Wuhan lab where they were studying bat viruses:
A molecular biologist who has been quoted as a coronavirus expert by The Washington Post and MSNBC said Thursday in no uncertain terms that the novel coronavirus could have been unleashed due to a leak from the Wuhan Institute of Virology.
China’s top virologist on bat-borne viruses, Shi Zhengli, has sworn on her life that the virus did not leak from her Wuhan lab, saying that its spread was “nature punishing the human race for keeping uncivilized living habits.”
But Richard H. Ebright, a professor of chemical biology at Rutgers University, told the Daily Caller News Foundation on Thursday that there is a real possibility that the virus entered the human population due to a laboratory accident.
When asked specifically if he believes the virus could have leaked from Shi’s lab in Wuhan, Ebright said: “Yes.”
“A denial is not a refutation,” Ebright said. “Especially not a denial based on ‘nature punishing the human race for keeping uncivilized living habits.’”
Zhengli had worried in December that the coronavirus leaked from her lab…
And while Shi now tells those who question whether her lab could be connected to the release of the coronavirus to “shut their stinking mouths,” she previously said she lost sleep worrying about the possibility that her lab in Wuhan could have been responsible for the virus’s release.
Shi, known by her colleagues as the “bat woman” because of the 16 years she has spent hunting for viruses in bat caves, told Scientific American in March that she frantically searched for any evidence that her laboratory’s records were mishandled upon learning of the virus’s outbreak in Wuhan in late December.
“Could they have come from our lab?” Shi recalled thinking.
“I had never expected this kind of thing to happen in Wuhan, in central China,” she noted, saying that her studies had shown that southern China posed the greatest risk of coronaviruses jumping from animals to humans.
Shi said she breathed a sigh of relief when results came back showing that the sequences of the coronavirus did not match the viruses she and her team had sampled from bat caves.
“That really took a load off my mind,” Shi said. “I had not slept a wink for days.”

Ebright says the possibility of a lab accident “cannot–and should not–be dismissed.”
Ebright, the Rutgers University molecular biologist, told Beijing-based news outlet Caixin Global in February that while there is “no basis to suspect the virus was engineered,” the available data indicates that the virus’s introduction into human populations could be attributed to either natural causes or to a laboratory mishap.
The Washington Post and MSNBC have quoted Ebright saying that theories about the virus being a bioweapon should be “firmly excluded,” but neither outlet included his belief that the possibility that the virus entered the human population through a lab accident “cannot–and should not–be dismissed.”
While researching some of this, I found a Korean news report from February 16 reporting that some Chinese scientists believe this may have leaked from the virology lab instead of coming from the ‘wet market’:
[embedded content]
Whichever way it occurred, either naturally or via a lab accident, the one thing we know for sure is that China silenced it’s people and hid it from the world for far too long and should be held accountable. Whether that will actually happen or not, I seriously have my doubts.

Martha McSally calls for WHO chief to resign over claims of pro-China bias

Martha McSally called for the head of WHO, Dr. Tedros, to step down over the organization’s constant sucking up to China and helping them cover up their incompetence in the coronavirus outbreak.

It’s unconscionable that the WHO has helped China cover-up its mishandling of the coronavirus crisis for months, while thousands die globally. I’m calling on the Director-General of the WHO to resign. pic.twitter.com/f2TItzZcnh
— Martha McSally (@SenMcSallyAZ) April 2, 2020

I would be totally for this except for one thing – Dr. Fauci of President Trump’s coronavirus task force completely vouched for Tedros, and said he was a very capable doctor and leader of the World Health Organization.
But whether that is true or not, McSally is right to say that China should forgive the debt that the U.S. owes them as a punishment for how they screwed up the coronavirus response. I would think that if Trump made some calls and really persuaded world leaders that China should be punished, this could go somewhere serious. I don’t think we could do it unilaterally because it would just be used by our opponents to make the U.S. seem unfair, yet again.
McSally also called for China to shut down the gross “wet markets” where exotic live animals are slaughtered for sale and consumption:

China’s wet markets are disgusting, inhumane, and dangerous, leaving humans exposed to an array of deadly diseases. Given the interconnectedness of today’s world, these markets not only pose a risk to Chinese citizens, but to people around the globe, including Americans.
— Martha McSally (@SenMcSallyAZ) April 2, 2020

I don’t see how anyone could object to that…

Canada’s health minister regurgitates China’s propaganda even after US intelligence calls it a lie

We all suspected that China’s miraculous coronavirus recovery was all BS, so we weren’t surprised when U.S. intelligence confirmed that it was. But for some bizarre reason Canada’s health minister is still pushing it:

Canada’s Minister of Health says “There is no indication” that China falsified their data in terms of Coronavirus infection and death rate.
Yesterday, the U.S. Intelligence Community concluded that China intentionally concealed the extent of the outbreak.pic.twitter.com/cXDHkPiEUi
— Benny (@bennyjohnson) April 2, 2020

Uh what? What the heck do the commies have on Canada’s health minister?! Seriously. Here’s the report from an earlier post:
The US intelligence community has determined that the Chinese government concealed the extent of the coronavirus outbreak in China and gave false statistics of the total number of positive cases and deaths in the country, Bloomberg News reported on Tuesday.
Intelligence officials transmitted a classified report of their findings to the White House last week. Sources told Bloomberg that the main conclusion of the report is that China’s public reporting of coronavirus cases is “intentionally incomplete.” One official told the outlet the intelligence document found that China’s numbers are fake.
Bloomberg reported that there’s been significant doubt of China’s reported statistics on its coronavirus cases, and that the Chinese government has repeatedly changed its methodology to track cases.
For instance, the report said, for weeks Chinese officials excluded asymptomatic people from being counted as positive cases and only revised that measure on Tuesday, adding more than 1,500 asymptomatic cases to its total count.
Pathetic that Canada is taking the side of China against the U.S., after all of the damage China has done by mismanaging this…

Trump slams Chuck Schumer in a scathing letter blaming him for disastrous NYC coronavirus crisis

El Presidente Trump just slammed Chuck Schumer in a scathing letter that is causing indigestion among the twitterati and the pundit class:

Some excerpts:
“Thank you for your Democrat public relations letter and incorrect sound bites, which are wrong in every way. … I’ve known you for many years, but I never knew how bad a senator you are for the state of New York, until I became president.”
“If you spent less time on your ridiculous impeachment hoax … and instead focused on helping the people of New York, then New York would not have been so completely unprepared for the ‘invisible enemy.’”
“You should have had New York much better prepared than you did.”
Wow. That’s gonna leave a mark.

WATCH: Trump campaign taunts Twitter with fake video of Biden calling coronavirus a ‘hoax’

The Trump campaign isn’t happy that Biden is allowed to keep his fake video up of Trump calling the coronavirus a hoax without a fake news warning, so they’ve decided to put one up themselves. It’s very simple and too the point:

The media is giving a pass to a pro-Biden TV ad that doctors and deceptively edits audio of President Trump, even though every independent fact checker said President Trump DID NOT call the coronavirus a hoax.
Joe Biden, on the other hand? This sounds authentic… pic.twitter.com/YY6vN5gTM6
— Trump War Room – Text TRUMP to 88022 (@TrumpWarRoom) April 2, 2020

They are basically daring Twitter to take action against their video to make a point.
And ironically, Biden is helping them:
Joe Biden’s campaign is calling on President Trump’s re-election campaign to pull a “wildly irresponsible” video from Twitter that splices in sound to falsely depict Biden calling the coronavirus a hoax — and they’re asking Twitter to remove the ad if the president’s campaign won’t.
“This is a wildly irresponsible tactic by the Trump campaign that attempts to draw a bizarre and false equivalence, and is purposefully misleading voters,” Biden campaign spokesman TJ Ducklo tells Axios in a statement.
“Disinformation and deceptively manipulated media have no place in our public discourse, and must not be tolerated in this campaign,” Ducklo said.
“Twitter cannot allow their platform to be a mechanism to spread lies and fake media, and if the Trump campaign won’t do the right thing, Twitter should remove the video immediately.”
It’s hilarious that Team Biden would claim “disinformation and deceptively manipulated media have no place in our public discourse”, when that’s exactly what their video of Trump is and why the Trump campaign has made it the subject of a lawsuit and called for its removal.
The Washington Post, Snopes, and others have all said the Biden video is not true. Yet Twitter, the self-appointed social media referee, refuses to take it down or put a fake news warning on it.
So how will they react to Team Trump’s video of Biden calling the coronavirus a hoax? It remains to be seen, but we’ll be sure and let you know if they take an biased actions as a result.

The woman who ingested the Chloroquine fish tank cleaner is not even remotely a Trump supporter…

The woman and her husband who ingested the Chloroquine phosphate fish tank cleaner in hopes of protecting herself from the coronavirus, which the media quickly blamed on Trump after it killed her husband and put her in the hospital, may have been playing the media all along.
Originally this is the story woman went with, where she blamed Trump and his experts, saying they didn’t know what they were talking about and for the American people not to listen or to trust them:

Woman in ICU: “Trump kept saying it was basically pretty much a cure.”NBC: “What would be your message to the American public?”Woman: “Oh my God. Don’t take anything. Don’t believe anything. Don’t believe anything that the President says & his people…call your doctor.” https://t.co/C8EiTQQ3r1 pic.twitter.com/UAOXBNsS4t
— Vaughn Hillyard (@VaughnHillyard) March 24, 2020

Never in that short interview does the reporter ask her why in the hell she thought fish tank cleaner was medicine.
Since all of that took place, a lot more has been learned about Wanda. In once instance on Facebook, she referred to Trump as a “psycho prez” (the tweet doesn’t show the full picture):

🚨🚨🚨
More on the woman who “gave” her husband poisonous fish cleaner
March 23: She blames Trump for making her think it was safe.
February 19: She calls Trump “psycho prez”
She’s lying and played the press. This needs to be investigated @mesapd pic.twitter.com/SpyUdJ66aI
— Techno Fog (@Techno_Fog) April 1, 2020

According to Fox News, Free Beacon has also uncovered that this woman is indeed a pro-abortion Democratic supporter:
The Washington Free Beacon quickly unearthed evidence that NBC News did not, including Wanda’s numerous donations to Democrats as recently as February. In that month, Wanda donated to the PAC 314 Action Fund, which has called itself the “pro-science resistance” to the White House.
Federal Election Commission records reviewed by the outlet revealed numerous other recipients of Wanda’s cash, including Hillary Clinton, the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC) and the pro-choice EMILY’s List.
Free Beacon went on to talk to Wanda about why she took the fish tank cleaner in the first place:
Speaking to the Free Beacon, Wanda acknowledged she was a Democrat and put less emphasis on Trump’s guidance: “We weren’t big supporters of [Trump], but we did see that they were using it in China and stuff,” Wanda said.
“We didn’t think it would kill us,” she added. “We thought if anything it would help us, ‘cus that’s what we’ve been hearing on the news.”
The media made Wanda sound as though she were a MAGA hat wearing Trump supporter who ate this stuff because Trump told her to, when in reality the story was very different. Wanda admits she saw that it was being used around the world successfully and then, for whatever reason, thought she and her husband should eat fish tank cleaner just because it contained Chloroquine. The story itself is ridiculous, but the media’s handling of it was abhorrent and evil, using it to attack Trump as though he’d told people to eat fish tank cleaner. What a clown show the media has become.

DOJ confiscates hundreds of thousands of hoarded medical supplies…

The DOJ announced today that they’ve confiscated hundreds of thousands of medical supplies that were being hoarded and redistributed them to medical personnel in New Jersey and New York.
A quick list of what they confiscated was:
192,000 N95 respirator masks
598,000 medical grade gloves
130,000 surgical masks, procedure masks, N100 masks, surgical gowns, disinfectant towels, particulate filters, bottles of hand sanitizer, and bottles of spray disinfectant

Here’s more:
The U.S. Department of Justice and U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) today announced the distribution of hoarded personal protective equipment (PPE), including approximately 192,000 N95 respirator masks, to those on the frontline of the novel coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) response in New York and New Jersey.
The FBI discovered the supplies during an enforcement operation by the Department of Justice’s COVID-19 Hoarding and Price Gouging Task Force on March 30 and alerted HHS which used its authority under Defense Production Act (DPA) to order that the supplies be immediately furnished to the United States. In addition to the N95 respirator masks, the supplies found included 598,000 medical grade gloves and 130,000 surgical masks, procedure masks, N100 masks, surgical gowns, disinfectant towels, particulate filters, bottles of hand sanitizer, and bottles of spray disinfectant.
“If you are amassing critical medical equipment for the purpose of selling it at exorbitant prices, you can expect a knock at your door,” said Attorney General William P. Barr. “The Department of Justice’s COVID-19 Hoarding and Price Gouging Task Force is working tirelessly around the clock with all our law enforcement partners to ensure that bad actors cannot illicitly profit from the COVID-19 pandemic facing our nation.”
“Cracking down on the hoarding of vital supplies allows us to distribute this material to the heroic healthcare workers on the frontlines who are most in need,” said HHS Secretary Alex Azar. “Thanks to the quick work of the White House, the Department of Justice, and HHS, the seized resources were distributed in days to the doctors, nurses and first responders who need them. President Trump’s all-of-America approach to combating the coronavirus involves an aggressive approach to stopping hoarding, and the American public can play a role by being on the lookout for this behavior.”
HHS will pay the owner of the hoarded equipment pre-COVID-19 fair market value for the supplies and has begun distributing to meet the critical need for the supplies among healthcare workers in New York and New Jersey.
Note that the DOJ says they will reimburse the owner of the equipment “pre-COVID-19 fair market value”. That’s because all of that is worth way more now than it was before this pandemic started.
I’m glad that we are seeing immediate results from these crackdowns on hoarders. Much of this stuff is extremely hard to find now and this is part of the reason why.

WATCH: Infectious disease specialist says Chloroquine combo is an absolute game changer, the beginning of the end of pandemic

A preeminent infectious disease specialist told Laura Ingraham last night that the combo use of Hydroxychloroquine and Azithromycin are a game changer and that he seriously believes this is the beginning of the end of this pandemic:

Dr. Stephen Smith, an infectious disease specialist, on using hydroxychloroquine/azithromycin combo to treat #COVID19 patients:
“It’s a game changer. It’s an absolute game changer. … I think this is the beginning of the end of the #pandemic. I’m very serious.” pic.twitter.com/F716IhtEvA
— Nicole Saphier, MD (@NBSaphierMD) April 2, 2020

Dr. Stephen Smith starts by pointing out that none of his patients who’ve been on the Hydroxychloroquine and Azithromycin combo for four to five days or more have needed intubation, meaning they are in respiratory failure and need the use of a ventilator. He said for those that were intubated, it happened in the first two days of treatment.
As the tweet suggests, Smith called this combo an absolute game changer and suggested it agrees with the french stats as well.
He actually interrupted Laura as she was signing off the interview to tell how much of a game changer he believes this is, saying “I think this is the beginning of the end of the pandemic. I’m very serious.”
If you want to watch the entire interview from Laura’s show last night, you can watch it below:

Tampa megachurch pastor decides to stop holding services after arrest, but it’s not because of the coronavirus…

The megachurch pastor in Tampa, Florida has decided to stop holding services during the pandemic after his arrest earlier this week. But he’s not doing it because of the Coronavirus, but rather to protect his flock from a tyrannical government:
DAILY BEAST – “I actually have no choice at this juncture but to shut the church down this Sunday,” Rodney Howard-Browne of The River at Tampa Bay said on his livestream call-in show.
“I have to do this to protect the congregation—not from the virus but from a tyrannical government.”
Howard-Browne—who just two weeks ago declared the church would “never close”—was charged with two misdemeanors on Monday after he failed to heed warnings by the Hillsborough County sheriff.
Howard-Browne kept his followers guessing for two days about whether he would risk re-arrest by inviting them to pack into the church, where he claims he installed machines to prevent them from being infected.
But on his Wednesday show, he finally revealed that he had shut down the building on Monday and would not reopen it, saying he didn’t want church staff or members to be arrested and floating the insane idea that an outsider infected with coronavirus might show up to a service and try to make his faithful sick.
“I’m not caving,” said Howard-Browne, who is free on $500 bail.
Howard-Browne said earlier this week that he believes “the World Health Organization has come in and is using a pandemic to take over not just America, but the whole of the world.”

Yeah, I don’t think that’s true. But I do think plenty of politicians, groups, and governments will try and take advantage of the unfolding economic crisis in order to push their leftist agendas, so we do have to be weary of that.
I would note that since Howard-Browne’s mega-church services last week, there does seem to be more coronavirus cases being reported in Hillsborough county, where his church resides:

The last bar represents yesterday, April 1st, and you can see it spiked up to 53. Two days before that it had spiked up to 50. I’m not saying this is because of Howard-Browne’s church because I can’t see the specific case data. I’m just suggesting it as a possibility given his services were held last Sunday, March 29th. When we reported his arrest on Tuesday, Hillsborough County had 253 cases. Two days later they have 362.
I think it’s a good thing he’s cancelling services. For whatever reason he uses to justify it, he’s finally doing the right thing.

Unemployment claims skyrockets another 6.6 million

The data on unemployment claims for last week has now been reported, doubling the record number reported two weeks ago:
CNBC – The torrent of Americans filing for unemployment insurance skyrocketed last week as more than 6.6 million new claims were filed, the Labor Department reported Thursday. That brings to 10 million the total Americans who filed over the past two weeks.
Economists surveyed by Dow Jones had expected 3.1 million for last week, one week after 3.3 million filings in the first wave of what has been a record-shattering swelling of the jobless ranks. The previous week’s total was revised higher by 24,000.
10 million in two weeks. That’s an insane amount, but it is to be expected in this coronavirus pandemic when states and local governments are shutting down the economy in order to keep people safe.

It’s ironic to see media headlines hyperventilating about the record number of unemployment claims though, because when Trump suggested that we couldn’t continue this economic ‘shut down’ for much longer, the media began accusing him of wanting to get the economy running too soon, at the expense of people’s lives. Maybe these catastrophic numbers will be a wakeup call for all these pundits and reporters to see that Trump is right.
I’ve never heard of Jon Sakoda, who says he’s an entrepreneur and venture capitalist, but I thought his tweet was very much on point:

The unemployment data is shocking. There are 10 million people that have filed for unemployment in two weeks in the US. The unemployment crisis is going to be larger and hit much closer to home if we can’t stop layoffs. Lives matter, but so do jobs
— Jon Sakoda (@jonsakoda) April 2, 2020

He’s exactly right. Jobs do matter and are essential to provide people with what they need to live. The federal government can’t sustain people’s lives indefinitely and if we don’t stop the layoffs and get the economy back going again, the coronavirus won’t be the only pandemic killing people.

Trump responds to Cryin’ Chuck Schumer “always complaining”…

Last night on CNN, Chuck Schumer claimed that Trump has no one in charge of producing and distributing medical equipment and suggested that Trump needed to appoint a senior military official as czar to make things happen more efficiently:
THE HILL – Senate Democratic Leader Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) on Wednesday evening called on President Trump to appoint a senior military official to serve as a czar in charge of producing and distributing medical equipment, arguing that Trump’s coronavirus task force is not up to the job.
“There’s a dramatic shortage of all the needed supplies or most of them, whether it’s masks, whether it’s [Personal Protective Equipment] PPE … whether it’s ventilators. And we have no one really in charge,” Schumer said in an interview with CNN’s Erin Burnett. “We have this awful spectacle of governors bidding against one another.”
This morning Trump responded, pointing out he already has an Admiral in charge of distribution and essentially told Cryin’ Chuck Schumer to stop complaining…

Somebody please explain to Cryin’ Chuck Schumer that we do have a military man in charge of distributing goods, a very talented Admiral, in fact. New York has gotten far more than any other State, including hospitals & a hospital ship, but no matter what, always complaining…..
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 2, 2020

…It wouldn’t matter if you got ten times what was needed, it would never be good enough. Unlike other states, New York unfortunately got off to a late start. You should have pushed harder. Stop complaining & find out where all of these supplies are going. Cuomo working hard!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 2, 2020

Trump continues reminding Schumer, and everyone else for that matter, that they are shipping many of these supplies directly to hospitals…

Massive amounts of medical supplies, even hospitals and medical centers, are being delivered directly to states and hospitals by the Federal Government. Some have insatiable appetites & are never satisfied (politics?). Remember, we are a backup for them. The complainers should…
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 2, 2020

….have been stocked up and ready long before this crisis hit. Other states are thrilled with the job we have done. Sending many Ventilators today, with thousands being built. 51 large cargo planes coming in with medical supplies. Prefer sending directly to hospitals.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 2, 2020

Schumer had told CNN that “one unnamed governor even told him that he has reached out to Sweden in a desperate search to find more ventilators.” But what’s wrong with that? If states can get them from Sweden, they should! It’s not like the federal government has to be the one and only supplier of medical supplies. In fact Trump keeps telling the states that they should be buy directly and that the federal government should be a backup.

OANN reporter banned from White House press briefings

One America News Network Chanel Rion was banned today from the White House press briefings after she violated the social distancing rules put in place over the coronavirus:
DEADLINE – The White House Correspondents’ Association voted to remove conservative outlet One America News Network from the pool rotation at President Donald Trump’s coronavirus briefings, after its correspondent violated social distancing guidelines.
In a letter to members, the WHCA board wrote that they voted to remove the outlet, known for its pro-Trump coverage. They cited a policy, put in place because of concerns over the spread of the coronavirus, that limits the briefing room to just 14 seated correspondents. No reporters are allowed to stand on the sidelines, as they routinely did in the past.
“We did this because a reporter for this outlet twice attended press briefings in contravention of this policy,” the WHCA said. “We do not take this action lightly. This is a matter of public safety.”
The reporter and the outlet was not identified, but other members have complained about the presence of Chanel Rion, its chief White House correspondent. OANN has a seat in the briefings, but only as part of a rotation of outlets, and Rion has been present even on days when she was not assigned.
Paula Reid, CBS News White House correspondent, wrote on Twitter that One America News “is in the rotation of reporters who get to attend briefings but seem to think they get to play by different & put safety at risk.” The Los Angeles Times reported that Rion was asked at a previous briefing to leave, but she refused and said she was there as a guest of Press Secretary Stephanie Grisham.

According to the New York Post, Rion simply couldn’t be in there every day, that she was part of a rotation and that she was coming on days when she wasn’t in rotation:
Access to the briefing room was restricted to about 15 reporters daily under strict guidelines issued last month by White House officials and the White House Correspondents Association. Several smaller news organizations can only rotate into the room once every several days.

The Post notes that OANN’s founder is defending Rion:
In an email to The Washington Post, OANN founder and chief executive Charles Herring said Rion’s presence “was appropriate” and that she was invited to attend the briefing, though he declined to say who invited her and why.
I checked Stephanie Grisham’s twitter account to see if she’s said anything about inviting Rion, and so far she hasn’t. I checked Rion’s twitter account and the only thing she seems to have done is retweet the fact that she’s been banned, without comment.

WATCH: CNN tries to get Calif Gov to admit he’s only praising Trump out of fear, but gets the exact OPPOSITE

This is an impressive statement from California Governor Gavin Newsom. Earlier today CNN host Jake Tapper tried to get him to admit that he’s really only praising Trump because he worries how Trump might react to his state if he doesn’t. But Newsom makes clear he’s praising Trump because Trump is doing a great job in being responsive to his requests:

Calif. Gov. @GavinNewsom: “Let me just be candid with you. I’d be lying to you to say that [Trump] hasn’t been responsive to our needs. He has. And so, as a question, as a sort of an offer of objectivity, I have to acknowledge that publicly.” pic.twitter.com/GLWGuACz7a
— Tom Elliott (@tomselliott) April 1, 2020

Here’s more from Fox News:
During an interview on Wednesday, Newsom was pressed by CNN anchor Jake Tapper about whether the governor’s public praise for Trump was all in order to prevent him from “punishing” his state.
“I’ve talked to officials around the country who have said that they have to temper their remarks in what they say about the federal government’s response for fear that President Trump will punish the citizens of their state if he considers them to be a complainer,” Tapper said. “You and President Trump seemed to have been working collaboratively. He praised you yesterday. Do you find yourself, by necessity, tempering what you say in terms of any issue you might have with the federal response?”
Newsom pointed to Trump’s assistance in the wildfires and droughts California has previously faced.
“This is not the time to bicker. I don’t care who’s up and down, whose polls are looking better than someone else’s or who wants to run for president or who doesn’t. When it comes to times of crisis, we need to [rise] above the partisanship and I’ve extended always an open hand, not a closed fist, in those circumstances. And this is no different,” Newsom told Tapper.
“But let me just be candid with you. I’d be lying to you to say that he hasn’t been responsive to our needs. He has,” the governor continued. “And so, as a question, as a sort of an offer of objectivity, I have to acknowledge that publicly.”
Newsom continued: “And the fact is every time I’ve called the president, he’s quickly gotten on the line. […] Those are the facts.”
“We always want more, I can criticize this or that, at the end of the day, we’re just trying to focus on developing a relationship of trust as a matter of course because there [are] just too many Americans, 40 million that live in this state that deserve us to get together and get along,” he added.
That’s amazing. I have to admit I’m surprised that he didn’t give even a hint of what Tapper was trying to get him to say, not one bit. While I severely dislike Newsom’s policies, it’s clear to me that many of these Democrats in DC could learn a thing or to from Newsom in this regard.

DRUG BLOCKADE: Trump admin to deploy anti-drug Navy ships near Venezuela

AT today’s coronavirus press briefing, Defense Secretary Mark Esper announced that the US will soon be parking anti-drug Navy ships in Venezuela’s backyard, otherwise known as the Caribbean Sea:
THE HILL – Trump administration officials announced Wednesday that the U.S. military would send naval ships and aircraft to the Caribbean as part of an enhanced counternarcotics operation.
President Trump and other top officials discussed the operation at the top of a White House coronavirus briefing Wednesday evening. Trump said it was important not to let drug cartels “exploit the pandemic to threaten American lives.”
Defense Secretary Mark Esper said that the Pentagon would deploy additional ships, aircraft and security forces to the U.S. Southern Command area of responsibility as part of the operation.
“At a time when the nation and the Department of Defense are focused on protecting the American people from the spread from the coronavirus, we also remain vigilant to the many other threats the country faces,” Esper told reporters.
“Today, at the president’s direction, the Department of Defense in close cooperation with our interagency partners, began enhanced counternarcotics operations in the Eastern Pacific Ocean and the Caribbean Sea,” he continued.

I don’t know if Venezuela was specifically mentioned in the announcement, but that appears to be the key focus of this deployment.
Earlier today, the AP reported this likely has much to do with Maduro’s drug indictment by the DOJ this week:
The Trump administration will soon announce that the U.S. is moving naval ships toward Venezuela as it enhances counter-narcotic operations in the Caribbean following a U.S. drug indictment against Nicolás Maduro, according to three people familiar with the situation.
The deployment could be announced as early as Wednesday, according to the people, who were speaking on the condition of anonymity to discuss it ahead of the official announcement.
The mission is part of the U.S.’s previously announced commitment to enhance anti-drug operations in the hemisphere.
But its taken on greater urgency following last week’s indictment of Maduro, Venezuela’s embattled socialist leader, and members of his inner circle and military . They are accused of leading a narcoterrorist conspiracy responsible for smuggling up to 250 metric tons of cocaine a year into the U.S., about half of it by sea.
I think this is a great idea. It not only protects the US, but is another way to put pressure on Maduro and his henchmen in hopes of eventually driving them out of power.

Pastor plans Woodstock-like outdoor Easter ‘blowout service’ to protest shutdown of churches during pandemic…

As we’ve reported, two pastors have been arrested this week for continuing to hold large church services despite restrictions on large gatherings during the pandemic. The arrest of the megachurch Tampa pastor apparently struck a nerve with Evangelist Jonathan Shuttlesworth, who is now going to hold an Easter “blowout service” that he likens to the size of Woodstock:
NY POST – A Pennsylvania pastor said Tuesday he plans to organize an outdoor “Woodstock”-like service in protest of coronavirus stay-at-home orders and following the arrests of multiple pastors in the US for allegedly violating such orders.
Evangelist Jonathan Shuttlesworth said he will hold an “outdoor Easter blowout service,” even though Florida pastor Rodney Howard-Browne was arrested Monday for holding services the day before, potentially placing attendees at risk for COVID-19.
“I’m gonna announce it. … We’re gonna hold an outdoor Easter blowout service. Not online. A national gathering. You come from all over, like Woodstock. And we’re gonna gather and lift up Jesus Christ,” he said.
“I’m not ashamed that Dr. Rodney got arrested. I’m ashamed that when they wanted to arrest preachers for having church, in an entire state, there was only one to come for.”
That’s quite a bold move, and one that many would call reckless.

Referring to the Tampa megachurch pastor who was arrested on Monday, Shuttlesworth tweeted…

Pastor arrested for having a church service in his own building on Sunday, just like 1938 Germany.. and just like 1938 Germany, other pastors say nothing, or applaud the arrest!https://t.co/bi4MrBSWOy
— Jonathan Shuttlesworth (@JDShuttlesworth) March 30, 2020

In a video he called “A prophetic word concerning what’s going on in the world”, he exclaimed “what are we going to become the underground church in four weeks?” He then quipped “unzip your wife’s purse and go find your balls.”
Shuttlesworth hasn’t given an exact location yet, but I’m guessing it will happen somewhere in Pennsylvania, which is the 9th highest in the number of coronavirus illnesses with 5,805 cases, and 12th highest in the number of deaths with 74. If they do hold the service and draw a large crowd, check back a week or so afterward and we’ll see if Pennsylvania has risen in rank because of this Easter ‘blowout service’. I pray it doesn’t but the way this coronavirus is spreading, it just might.

US Intelligence finds that China ‘faked’ it’s coronavirus numbers

The US intelligence community has found that China intentionally faked it’s coronavirus numbers in a report to the White House:
BUSINESS INSIDER – The US intelligence community has determined that the Chinese government concealed the extent of the coronavirus outbreak in China and gave false statistics of the total number of positive cases and deaths in the country, Bloomberg News reported on Tuesday.
US officials have repeatedly accused China of covering up information about its coronavirus cases and of spreading disinformation as the virus continues to spread.

Business Insider notes that even the South China Morning Post is reporting on evidence, on the ground in China, that would suggest they are lying their butts off about the death toll there:
Almost a week has passed since a case of the novel coronavirus has been reported in Wuhan. Coronavirus cases are flattening off across China, Reuters reported on Monday.
But some Wuhan residents also believe that government officials have not accurately counted the number of deaths from the coronavirus.
A truck driver in Wuhan delivered about 5,000 urns to a single funeral home over two days last week, according to the South China Morning Post, which cited a Caixin magazine report.
The Caixin report, according to SCMP, “purportedly showed 3,500 urns stacked on the floor of the funeral home.”
The official death toll in Wuhan “can’t be right … because the incinerators have been working round-the-clock,” one resident, who identified himself by his surname, Zhang, told Radio Free Asia.
“So how can so few people have died?” Zhang asked.
According to RFA, some city residents said on social media that Wuhan’s funeral homes were “handing out 3,500 urns every day.” RFA’s reporting, which could not be independently verified by Insider, said at the current rate, about “42,000 urns would be given out” between March 23 and April 5, when a traditional grave-tending festival begins.
Chinese testing kits aren’t working and it appears that Wuhan has far more deaths than the Chinese want us to know about. But hey, keep parroting Chinese propaganda MSM. You do it for the Democrats so why not China too.

SUPERCUT: Democrats give really terrible coronavirus advice!

I wonder if any reporters from CNN and pounding on De Blasio and his Health Chief for these comments?

Man who defends himself from masked burglars is thrown in jail for shooting burglar and not running away!

A man defending himself and his store from burglars early Sunday morning is now sitting in jail without even the ability to be bailed out. Here’s the story:
Watch the latest video at foxnews.com

An employee who was living in Arlington Smoke Shop in Arlington, Virginia, over fears of the coronavirus, fired several rounds to scare off three masked burglars at around 4:30am on Sunday morning. The burglars had smashed the window and broken into the store, apparently not realizing an employee was living in the store.
One of the rounds fired by the employee hit one of the burglars, but not fatally. When the police arrived they arrested the employee and asked him why he didn’t run out the back door. According to Tucker, the employee now faces up to 20 years in prison and is being held without bail, all for defending himself and his store.
The shop owner was on with Tucker last night explaining the story, and you could tell that even in the interview he was livid. It really is insane that someone in America can be thrown in jail for defending themselves, but this is what rogue liberals states do. I just hope this man can get a good lawyer and a good jury who can clear him of these bogus charges.

House Democrats already planning 9/11-style commission to investigate Trump’s coronavirus response…

While the rest of the country is trying to figure out how to keep people safe, Democrats are already planning how to try and turn this pandemic into election success in November:
NBC NEWS – Informal discussions have begun on Capitol Hill about the possibility of creating a panel to scrutinize the Trump administration’s response to the coronavirus pandemic that would be modeled on the commission that investigated the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001, according to four people familiar with the discussions.
They described the discussions as “very preliminary” and involving mostly congressional Democrats.
One option could be a plan to review the administration’s response in the annual National Defense Authorization Act, two of the people said.
The Russia investigation failed. Pelosi and Schiff’s impeachment failed. Now Democrats want to use the pandemic to try and destroy Trump and here’s their unsurprising ringleader:

After Pearl Harbor and 9/11, we looked at what went wrong to learn from our mistakes.
Once we’ve recovered, we need a nonpartisan commission to review our response and how we can better prepare for the next pandemic.
I’m working on a bill to do that.https://t.co/uqO3BwVldN
— Adam Schiff (@RepAdamSchiff) April 1, 2020

NBC News does report that some lawmakers say the commission should be done after the election, but I’d be willing to be that those lawmakers are in a very small minority:
But the formation of any commission, or possible congressional investigations, wouldn’t happen until after the country is through the crisis, the people familiar with the discussions said. Some lawmakers have suggested putting off any investigation until after November’s presidential election, they said.
If it can’t start until the country is through the crisis, then Democrats will be praying for this crisis to end quickly so they can begin their investigations into Trump. Because November is only months away! And you can bet this will be the quickest 9/11 style commision report you’ve ever seen and Trump will, of course, be GUILTY with coronavirus blood on his hands…

Putin sends huge planeload of medical supplies to the US

Russia has reportedly sent the US a huge planeload of medical supplies to help with the coronavirus after Putin’s conversation with Trump the other morning. With love, of course:

Here’s more via Politico:
Russia is sending a planeload of masks and other supplies to help the United States fight the coronavirus pandemic as the number of cases threatens to top 200,000 across the country.
The plane will arrive today, after President Donald Trump accepted an offer on Monday by Russian President Vladimir Putin to send personal protective equipment and other gear, a senior administration official confirmed to POLITICO.
The Russian government first announced that the plane, an An-124 Ruslan cargo aircraft filled with equipment to help America battle the pandemic, was en route early today.
The U.S. will immediately put to use any needed items that are approved by the Food and Drug Administration, the senior administration official said.
I’m sure the media will be all over this since it’s an election year, calling for another special prosecutor to investigate Trump’s ties with Russia. Or how Russia is interfering with our pandemic. LOL!
Seriously, it’s a generous gift at a time when we can absolutely use it. I know the US is sending medical aid to other countries, but it is nice to be on the receiving end for a change.

Dozens of Spring Breakers testing positive for Coronavirus

In the most unshocking news ever, dozens of spring breakers are now testing positive for the Coronavirus:
DAILY MAIL – Dozens of students from Texas who traveled to Mexico for spring break have tested positive for coronavirus.
The group of 70 individuals journeyed from Austin to Cabo San Lucas on Mexico’s west coast.
Of those, some 28 people have since tested positive for the virus.
Some of the group traveled to and from the country by private jet, while some returned on various commercial flights.
Out of the 28 who have contracted the disease, it appears that four people did not present any symptoms.
The Austin Public Health Department is investigating the cluster of positive COVID-19 cases involving the group.
All 28 students who were confirmed are now self-isolating for the time being while others under the quarantine are being monitored and tested. The Department of State Health Services has been notified of the cases.

It’s not just Texas students…
Meanwhile, five students at the University of Tampa have tested positive for COVID-19 after traveling for their spring break, school officials say.
The college students were traveling together with other UT students, but the school has not specified where they went during their break.
On Friday the university posted that initially one student test positive. Then on Saturday four more students who traveled together for break tested positive.
Three of those students returned to campus after their spring break travels.
Those students are now self-isolating and have not been hospitalized. It’s not clear if those pupils live on or off campus.
These number seem somewhat low to me based on the photos and videos we saw in the last few weeks. It wouldn’t surprise me if many of the cases in Miami were spring-break related.

“Fiscal conservatism is DEAD!” – Mark Levin [AUDIO]

Tonight on his radio show Mark Levin discussed the trillions that’s being spent by the government and the trillions that they still want to spend during this pandemic, as well as the shutting down of the economy by governors all over America, and declared that fiscal conservatism and limited constitutional government is dead.

I’ve got the player cued up to 20:27 for you to start listening, but I’ve transcribed a small portion of Mark’s comments below if you prefer.
Just before this section began, Levin was discussing some Franklin-Roosevelt-types who have the president’s ear…
But if you listen to what’s going on over there, in the administration, you can see it.
‘We need a massive infrastructure program – now’s the time!’
It was one trillion, now it’s two trillion.
‘It’ll put America back to work! We can do roads and bridges!’
And again on my social sites, the commenters come in – not all of them this time, but enough of them – and think this is a swell idea.
Right on top of the 2.2 trillion, so that’s 4.2 trillion. Right on top of the 4 trillion in loans that the federal reserve has now been empowered to issue, so that’s 8.2 trillion. On top of the federal budget which is another 4 and half trillion, so that’s almost 13 TRILLION dollars in one year, in an economy that was at least 18 trillion dollars.
So I’m here to declare fiscal conservatism is dead. It’s DEAD.
Limited constitutional government is dead.
The vast majority of the American people supporting individual liberty is dead.
Because if you’re going to a Mark levin social site, defending these things, well then I guess you’re more Bernie Sanders than you know. I’m not talking about the vast majority of you in my audience.
And here’s the thing, it’s not going to help. Why don’t we embrace the things that grow the economy? Why don’t we embrace the things that advance entrepreneurship and the building of businesses and employing people and, as I say, contribute to growth.
Massive amounts of centralized government decision making; throwing money at people, students, or whoever that don’t need it, don’t deserve it – that doesn’t work.
There’s a lot more so I encourage you to listen to the entire segment which runs about 15 minutes.

Mitch McConnell was NOT talking about Trump when he said impeachment distracted the govt from coronavirus threat

I saw this story earlier today, where McConnell was on Hugh Hewitt’s show and briefly mentioned how impeachment distracted the government from the coronavirus threat in January. I didn’t think much of it. But then I watched reporters ask Trump about it and I see articles being written about it and people responding to the articles as if McConnell was making excuses for Trump or something. He wasn’t!
McConnell was simply asked by Hugh Hewitt if Tom Cotton was the first one to recognize the coronavirus threat and here’s what he said:
He was first, and I think Tom was right on the mark. And it came up while we were tied down on the impeachment trial. And I think it diverted the attention of the government, because everything every day was all about impeachment. But Tom figured this out early, and he was absolutely right.
That’s literally all he said. McConnell was talking about the Senate, he was talking about Tom Cotton. Trump never even came up in that part of the conversation.
But here’s how The Hill reported it:
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) on Tuesday blamed the Democrats’ push to impeach President Trump in January for distracting the Trump administration from the threat posed by the coronavirus.
“It came up while we were tied down in the impeachment trial. And I think it diverted the attention of the government because everything every day was all about impeachment,” McConnell said in an interview on “The Hugh Hewitt Show.”
Trump has come under sharp criticism for the nation’s slow response to the spreading pandemic, especially for the shortage of coronavirus testing kits when the virus first spread to the United States.

McConnell never mentioned the Trump administration at all. He only said ‘government’, and the last time I checked the Senate is part of the government and they were very much embroiled in the impeachment hoax.
That’s led to idiots blathering about it like this:

I think @senatemajldr and all of these politicians should be prosecuted when this is done for the lies which cost thousands of deaths. He knows Trump is a con man who lied to everyone to delay bad news and that led to thousands of additional deaths. They are all murderers. https://t.co/T0JPLOi8g0
— Judd Apatow (@JuddApatow) March 31, 2020

Appears @senatemajldr McConnnell can no longer defend the initial catastrophic failure of @realDonaldTrump in addressing the #COVID19 pandemic. He now blames impeachment. Except the trial ended Feb 5. And both @realDonaldTrump & @GOP continued to downplay the virus after Feb 5. https://t.co/yeUnvpG1tI
— Ted Lieu (@tedlieu) March 31, 2020

The lesson? Don’t use the power and prestige of the presidency to coerce foreign leaders to investigate your political opponents—thus forcing Congress to impeach you. Then, you won’t be distracted and totally botch a pandemic…. https://t.co/zIAOkXgLQK

“Sorry the president was bad at his job. He was too busy being put on trial because he’s bad at his job.” https://t.co/id5ZNpgRRl

The list goes on, but this is just an example of how the media can easily twist something someone said into something they never really said at all.

De Blasio says he’s going to MONITOR Samaritan’s Purse to make sure they don’t discriminate against the gays

Commie Mayor Bill De Blasio was very concerned when he first heard that Samaritan’s Purse had set up makeshift hospitals in Central Park to help with the virus:
NY POST – Mayor Bill de Blasio said Tuesday that he has been “assured” the evangelical Christian charity overseeing the makeshift Central Park hospital will not discriminate against patients.
Hizzoner acknowledged that he found it “very troubling” when he first learned that Samaritan’s Purse — a charity run by Franklin Graham, who has raged about “the sins of homosexuality” — wanted to open a pop-up hospital in the park to help handle the city’s deluge of coronavirus patients.
“I said immediately to my team that we had to find out exactly what was happening,” de Blasio said. “Was there going to be an approach that was truly consistent with the values and the laws in New York City, that everyone would be served and served equally?
Samaritan’s Purse has been helping people for a long time all around the world. They don’t turn people away and aren’t known for it. They are Christians who help people in need! The fact that De Blasio was ‘concerned’ at all about them shows more about his own biases than it does anything about Samaritan’s Purse.

De Blasio did say he’s gotten assurances that they won’t be discriminating against anyone, because you know, he had to check:
“We’ve received those assurances from the organization,” the mayor said.
“I spoke earlier today with the CEO of the Mount Sinai system, Dr. Ken Davis, who was adamant that they will only continue their relationship with the organization if those rules are followed, that they have a written agreement, that there’s going to be no discrimination whatsoever.”
But these assurances apparently aren’t good enough. He’s going to have his own people monitor Samaritan’s Purse to make sure they don’t do what they’ve never done anywhere:
“We’re going to send people over from the Mayor’s Office to monitor” the park facility, de Blasio added. “So I’m very concerned to make sure this is done right. But if it is done right, of course, we need all the help we can get.”
This is ridiculous. They are there to help people throughout this pandemic, not turn people away. What a schmuck!
I just hope people who have a beef with Samaritan’s Purse don’t decide to use these ‘monitors’ to smear or slander the group, because that could easily happen.

AWESOME: Idaho governor signs bill banning ‘transgender females’ from competing in female sports!

A few weeks ago we told you about the Idaho House and Senate passing a bill that would ban ‘transgender females’, otherwise known as males, from competing in female sports. Well their Republican governor just signed the bill so now it’s law:
FREE BEACON – Idaho governor Brad Little (R.) on Monday signed the Fairness in Women’s Sports Act to prohibit biologically male students from participating in all-female sports.
“Athletic teams or sports designated for females, women, or girls shall not be open to students of the male sex,” the bill states.
The law cites differences in male and female physiology that results in distinct athletic capabilities.
“Under this bill, boys and men will not be able to take the place of girls and women in sports because it is not fair,” state representative Barbara Ehardt told Reuters.

“Because it is not fair…” Exactly! No matter how you size it up, biological males have a clear advantage in athletic competitions.
Free Beacon also reports that the “governor also signed a second bill on Monday that prohibits transgender people from changing their sex on their birth certificate.”
Honestly, I’m a little surprised the governor signed the bill even though he is a Republican. When we first reported this a few weeks back, we also pointed out that earlier this year the governor had stated “I don’t think we ought to be sending signals that we’re intolerant in Idaho. That’s my personal position.” But regardless of his personal position, he came down on the right side of this. So major kudos to Governor Brad Little.

Another pastor arrested for holding church services in defiance of coronavirus bans…

A pastor in Louisiana has been arrested for continually holding church services despite the governor’s order that there be no gatherings of more than ten:

#BREAKING: Pastor Tony Spell now facing six misdemeanor counts of disobeying the powers of the governor. One count for each alleged church service held during the stay home order. @WAFB
MORE – > https://t.co/AGPqgY6k46 pic.twitter.com/KdxJGRkSpw
— Graham Ulkins (@GrahamUlkins) March 31, 2020

KNOE – The pastor of a church in Central, La. will be charged with six misdemeanor counts of disobeying the powers of the governor, prosecutors said Tuesday.
On Tuesday, March 31, Chief Roger Corcoran with Central Police Department issued Mark Anthony Spell, (Aka: Tony Spell), Pastor of Life Tabernacle Church in Central, a Misdemeanor Summons for six counts of violating the governor’s executive order (LA R.S. 29:724E) following his decision to host multiple large gatherings.
“Over the last two weeks I have worked with the Sheriff, State Police the State Fire Marshal, Reverend Tony Perkins and others to address this matter outside of legal action. Mr. Spell made his intentions to continue to violate the law clear,” he said in a statement. “Instead of showing the strength and resilience of our community during this difficult time, Mr. Spell has chosen to embarrass us for his own self-promotion.
“Mr. Spell will have his day in court where he will be held responsible for his reckless and irresponsible decisions that endangered the health of his congregation and our community.
“This is not an issue over religious liberty, and it’s not about politics. We are facing a public health crisis and expect our community’s leaders to set a positive example and follow the law.”
East Baton Rouge District Attorney Hillar Moore says one count was issued for each time Spell allegedly held a gathering at his church that exceeded the limit set by the governor.
Spell has continually disobeyed orders by Governor John Bel Edwards that large groups should not gather during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. He has held multiple church services with hundreds in attendance.

Unlike the Pastor arrested yesterday in Tampa, Spell’s church isn’t a megachurch. According to the Washington Examiner, one service that was broken up by authorities had over 300 in attendance. Other services attracted as many as 1,000.
They also report that Spell “faces a $500 fine and up to six months in prison.” Yikes! Six months in prison sounds egregious to me, especially for doing something that is a right protected by our Constitution.
I’m honestly mixed on this one. While I hate to see our fundamental rights curtailed and our economy shut down by the government, I understand the desire to keep this virus at bay until we can get a better handle on it in order to keep people safe. It’s a difficult place to be in because, on the one hand, without these temporary measures in place our hospitals could be overrun and many more could be dying. On the other hand, these are our God-given rights that are being curtailed.

BREAKING: Fifth Circuit overturns ruling, says Texas can implement abortion ban during coronavirus pandemic!

The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals has just overturned an injunction from a lower court last night that prohibit Texas from banning abortions during the coronavirus pandemic:

BREAKING
Texas’s abortion ban is going back into effect.
The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals just issued a temporary stay of last night’s decision to block the ban from going into effect.
Abortion will now be discontinued in Texas.
Story coming…
— Kate Smith (@byKateSmith) March 31, 2020

CBS NEWS – Texas will again be allowed to implement its temporary ban on abortion, the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals ruled Tuesday afternoon. Per the order, any abortion “not medically necessary to preserve the life or health” of the patient must be halted until further review by the court. Those in violation face “penalties of up to $1,000 or 180 days of jail time.”
The ban, which is part of the state’s suspension of all “non-essential” medical procedures, was briefly lifted on Monday evening when a lower court ruled the suspension of abortion services was in violation of Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion nationwide.

This is great news. While it’s only a temporary ban, there will be many innocent lives saved in Texas because of this decision.
I don’t have any additional information about the ruling, other than to point out that Texas AG Ken Paxton is very happy:

UPDATE: Victory at 5th Circuit – Abortion ruling stayed! https://t.co/vmpyXsje0B

Last night’s ruling, which claimed the ban violated Roe v Wade, was from a district judge appointed by George W. Bush:

BOOM: Ted Cruz FIXES Obama’s tweet taking a shot at Trump over coronavirus warnings…

This morning the LA Times reported that Trump has rolled back one of Obama’s biggest climate change regulations by lowering Obama’s gas mileage economy demands on the auto industry from 5% increases per year to 1.5%:
The Trump administration on Tuesday weakened one of the nation’s most aggressive efforts to combat climate change, releasing new fuel efficiency standards for cars and trucks that handed a victory to the oil and gas industry.
The new rule, from the Environmental Protection Agency and Transportation Department, will almost immediately be plunged into litigation as environmental groups and states with stricter standards, led by California, plan to challenge it.
If the administration’s policy survives those fights, it would spare automakers from having to meet ambitious gas mileage and emissions requirements put in place in 2012 under President Obama. It is among the biggest steps the administration has taken to reverse an existing environmental policy. The proposal is a dialed-down version of the one the administration originally planned. Instead of proposing zero improvements in fuel efficiency in coming years, it would require automakers to increase fuel economy across their fleets by 1.5% a year, with a goal of achieving an average of 40 miles per gallon by 2026. That’s still a major departure from current rules, which mandate annual increases of 5%, reaching an average of 54 mpg by 2025.
“We are delivering on President Trump’s promise to correct the current fuel economy and greenhouse gas emissions standards,” EPA Administrator Andrew Wheeler said in a statement. The administration’s plan, he said, “strikes the right regulatory balance that protects our environment and sets reasonable targets for the auto industry.”
As you can imagine, Obama was not happy with this and took a shot at Trump over the coronavirus pandemic:
We’ve seen all too terribly the consequences of those who denied warnings of a pandemic. We can’t afford any more consequences of climate denial. All of us, especially young people, have to demand better of our government at every level and vote this fall.

BREAKING: Justice Dept audit finds WIDESPREAD flaws in FBI surveillance of American citizens

Justice Department Inspector General Michael Horowitz found major problems with the FBI’s surveillance of Carter Page in December of last year and promised he would do an audit of other FISA applications for surveillance on American citizens. That audit is now done and, as you might have expected, he’s found widespread problems:

New: Management Advisory Memorandum for the Federal Bureau of Investigation concerning the FBI’s execution of its Woods Procedures for applications filed with the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court relating to U.S. persons.
https://t.co/rzD5eAvj2X pic.twitter.com/di1n0sMBMK
— Justice OIG (@JusticeOIG) March 31, 2020

POLITICO – A Justice Department audit of the FBI’s use of secret surveillance warrants has found widespread problems with the law enforcement agency’s process for ensuring that all claims it makes to judges to get the warrants are backed up by facts.
In a bid to assess whether the faults in the Page’s surveillance process were an aberration or a chronic problem, Horowitz’s audit team zeroed in on 29 applications for surveillance on U.S. citizens or green-card holders over a five year period and whether the so-called “Woods procedures” for justifying an application were properly followed.
“We do not have confidence that the FBI has executed its Woods Procedures in compliance with FBI policy, or that the process is working as it was intended to help achieve the ‘scrupulously accurate’ standard for FISA applications,” Horowitz wrote in a “management advisory” addressed to FBI Director Chris Wray.
These 29 applications reviewed are just a sample chosen by the IG from a total of 700 applications from between 2014 and 2019.

There’s not much detail yet on what was wrong with the 29 applications. But from what I’ve seen reported elsewhere, at least four of the applications had no corresponding facts at all:

This is kind of in the weeds, but basically:
The Justice Department’s inspector general reviewed a sample of 29 FBI warrant applications to spy on Americans, and:
1) Four of them had no corresponding factual file supporting the application;
2) All other 25 had many errors. https://t.co/9KEsfvY8aj
— Cristian Farias (@cristianafarias) March 31, 2020

I grabbed this directly from the report which relates to what’s above:
Our lack of confidence that the Woods Procedures are working as intended stems primarily from the fact that: (1) we could not review original Woods Files for 4 of the 29 selected FISA applications because the FBI has not been able to locate them and, in 3 of these instances, did not know if they ever existed;
(2) our testing of FISA applications to the associated Woods Files identified apparent errors or inadequately supported facts in all of the 25 applications we reviewed, and interviews to date with available agents or supervisors in field offices generally have confirmed the issues we identified;
Yeesh, this sounds bad. Just imagine what a comprehensive review of all 700 applications would find…
Below is the full IG report from the Justice Department if you want to read it:

BREAKING: Trump just called for another 2 trillion dollar bill…

Trump just called for another 2 trillion dollar bill after the one we just spent, this time for infrastructure…

I understand that the economy is struggling right now due to government intervention over the coronavirus. But I thought the 2 trillion we just spent was to fix that?

Caruso is exactly right. Trump’s admitted that the lard in the emergency stimulus bill was due to the fact that the Democrats control the House and it was the only way to get it passed in a hurry. How much worse do you think it will be with another 2 trillion dollar bill that isn’t an emergency? How many “Kennedy centers” will be in that one?

“What is wrong with you?” – Greta van Susteren calls out MSNBC host after he mocked MyPillow CEO

The media has been having fits after yesterday’s White House task force briefing where MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell spoke about what he was doing to help in this pandemic. MSNBC host Ali Velshi was one of them, but got called out by former Fox News host Greta Van Susteren for mocking Lindell, saying “Trump just called the “My Pillow” guy up to the podium in the Rose Garden. You cannot make this stuff up.”

Trump just called the “My Pillow” guy up to the podium in the Rose Garden. You cannot make this stuff up.
— Ali Velshi (@AliVelshi) March 30, 2020

I love how Greta responds, saying “Why do you mock ANYONE who would help in any way? What is wrong w/ you? People need help and we should encourage everyone to help in any way.”

— Greta Van Susteren (@greta) March 30, 2020

Velshi tried to defend himself, saying “Come on, Greta. Lots of people are doing things in this effort. How did the My Pillow guy make the cut with the CEOs of Honeywell and P&G?”

— Ali Velshi (@AliVelshi) March 30, 2020

But Greta wasn’t having any of that, and continued to call him out: “What are YOU doing? Tell me what YOU are doing besides sitting on the sidelines being snarky? I love my job but I know we don’t do the heavy lifting; we get paid big salaries to TALK ABOUT stories and that is easy..thank you to everyone helping..from healthcare workers to businesses”

— Greta Van Susteren (@greta) March 30, 2020

Velshi finally conceded that he was ‘grateful’ for what Lindell was doing, but couldn’t stop defending himself: “Greta, I’m grateful for what he’s doing, but are you at all curious about whether donations ($200k) to Trump should play a role in whom the president highlights at a time like this? Because asking THAT question on behalf of the public IS our job.”

Greta didn’t respond. But she got a ‘Go Greta’ from Brit Hume who loved what she was doing…

The anti-Trump media simply cannot stop attacking the president they loathe, even during a freaking pandemic where he’s bringing the country together to make up for the failings of government and fight this virus, which is the way it should be. I know I’ve said this many times since Trump became president, but I seriously don’t ever remember even once when the media were like this with Obama, and he had YUGE scandals! But he ALWAYS got a pass from this media, just like Trump ALWAYS gets attacked from this media.

Trump says Pelosi “wasn’t bad” this morning…

Trump just tweeted a few minutes ago that he watched Morning Joe this morning to see how Nancy Pelosi was planning to hurt the country again, but said she “wasn’t bad”:
“I watched a portion of low rated (very) Morning Psycho (Joe) this Morning in order to see what Nancy Pelosi had to say, & what moves she was planning to further hurt our Country. Actually, other than her usual complaining that I’m a terrible person, she wasn’t bad. Still praying!”

— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 31, 2020

Seems like Trump is looking for the good wherever he can find it. But I really don’t think there is any. I do think she’s planning something.

She’s been blaming Trump for coronavirus deaths and that tells me she’s going to hold more hearings and possibly another impeachment in order to try make Trump vulnerable enough to defeat in November. Of this I have no doubt.
Trump also acknowledged that Cuomo said he was “very helpful” this morning and seem pleased…

UH OH: Congresswoman say she has coronavirus a few days after she was with Pelosi and others…

A Democratic Congresswoman claims she has coronavirus just days after she was with Nancy Pelosi and others:
FOX NEWS – Rep. Nydia Velazquez, D-N.Y., said Monday that she has been diagnosed “with presumed coronavirus infection” but added that her symptoms so far have been mild.
“In the wee hours of Sunday morning, I began to feel under the weather,” Velazquez said in a statement. “I developed the abrupt onset of muscle aches, fevers, nasal congestion and stomach upset. I noticed that I could no longer smell my perfume or taste my food. After speaking with The Attending Physician by phone, I was diagnosed with presumed coronavirus infection.”
Velazquez was not administered a test for COVID-19 but said she was resting at home and monitoring her symptoms.
Assuming her doctor knows what they are doing, this doesn’t sound good.

Not only was Velazquez with Pelosi, but she was with other high ranking Democrats and Republicans as well as on the House floor:

What’s bad for some, like Pelosi, is that they are older and more at risk if they contract the virus. I would assume there’s going to be some testing going on soon on Capitol Hill.

NBC News writes garbage article about Trump peddling My Pillow while thousands are dying

NBC News has written another smear attack piece against Trump during the pandemic, accusing him of putting on an infomercial for My Pillow today in the Rose Garden while thousands are dying. First, here’s the title of their hit piece:

And here’s how they began their hit piece:
As the U.S. death toll from coronavirus climbed toward 3,000, President Donald Trump touted corporate America’s role in producing medical equipment at an infomercial-like White House briefing Monday.
Trump invited a lineup of CEOs to applaud him and advertise their companies from a podium bearing the presidential seal in the Rose Garden. It wasn’t until they were done congratulating each other that the victims of the disease, and the people fighting it on the front lines, became a focus of Monday’s daily White House briefing.

“Trump invited a lineup of CEOs to applaud him and advertise their companies from a podium”?? Their TDS is bleeding through like a gaping chest wound. That’s not what Trump did at all. Granted everyone who comes to the podium speaks highly of the president, but these corporate CEOs were they to educate the public about what they are doing to help out in this pandemic, which deserves to be highlighted. They are converting their manufacturing to significantly aid hospitals and the public with essential medical goods for our better health. What is wrong with them getting a public pat on the back for their contribution?
It continues…
Pillow company founder Michael Lindell, who has donated more than $200,000 to Trump’s campaigns and associated committees, praised the president for bringing God back to the public square. Executives from an underwear manufacturer and a defense contractor detailed how their operations are being pointed toward producing medical equipment in accordance with Trump’s wishes.
Trump’s love of CEOs, and his willingness to use official White House briefings to praise corporate leaders and political allies, is nothing new — even in the midst of the current crisis. But Monday’s showcase, which represents the heart of the president’s daily communication to the public on efforts to combat the coronavirus, signaled a massive escalation of his message that he and his friends in the private sector will save America out of the goodness of their hearts.
And it comes at a time when Trump’s critics are questioning the amount of money taxpayers have been asked to pump into companies that paid CEOs big salaries and bought back their own stock while racking up debt.
They are making it sound like it’s all cronyism. What a bunch of garbage. Sure, Lindell is a donor. But he and these other CEOs are giving back in a wonderful way to help the sick and the medical community during a time of great need.
What NBC News saw as an infomercial, I saw Trump wanting the public to understand that things ARE being done to help fight this virus as people continue to get sick and die.
This garbage piece continues on if you want to read it. But this is how it began and given that most people only read the first part of the article, NBC News is doing a great disservice to both their readers, these CEOs and President Trump.

Megachurch pastor arrested for holding large church services yesterday

The pastor of a megachurch in Tampa Florida has been arrested for unlawful assembly and violation of public health emergency rules after he openly defied the coronavirus ban in Florida and held two large services over the weekend:

FOX 8 – A Tampa Bay area pastor has been arrested following two large services at his church over the weekend.
Hillsborough County Sheriff Chad Chronister says he has made the decision Sunday night to seek an arrest warrant against the pastor of River at Tampa Bay Church for violating social distancing guidelines amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The sheriff confirmed in a tweet Monday afternoon that Pastor Rodney Howard-Browne had been arrested.
Sheriff Chronister says Howard-Browne “repeatedly” violated social distancing orders from the president, CDC and local authorities.
“His reckless disregard for human life put hundreds of people in his congregation at risk and thousands of residents who may interact with them this week in danger,” the sheriff said.
According to Sheriff Chronister, the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office has been in contact with leaders at the church since last Friday. The sheriff says his office received a tip that the church pastor was refusing to stop holding large services and was instead encouraging his congregation to meet in person at the church.
Chronister added that the church has the capability to stream the services online and on TV to people at home but instead encouraged people to attend the church services. He says the church even provided bus transportation to two large services on Sunday.
The pastor will be charged with unlawful assembly and violation of public health emergency rules. Both charges are second-degree misdemeanors.

Just to give you an idea, Hillsborough county, where Tampa Florida is located, has 253 cases of coronavirus and 2 deaths as of today. Considering this is megachurch where thousands of people attended this weekend, it’s likely the number cases could go up more than normal in the coming days. I can guarantee people will be watching.
According to TMZ, Browne “bragged during the service that River Church would remain open for the duration” and said the “only time the church will close is when the Rapture is taking place.”
I can’t say I completely disagree with the sheriff when he says that the pastor’s “reckless disregard for human life put hundreds of people in his congregation at risk and thousands of residents who may interact with them this week in danger.” I completely understand the idea of wanting to have church services and applaud it, under normal circumstances. But it’s also a fact that this coronavirus spreads very easily and can prove fatal for many older people and some younger people. I hate the fact that I can’t go to church right now and participate in the Mass, however I will be glad the day I step foot back into the church and the 82-year-old lady I sit beside is still there with me.
I should also note that no one in Tampa or the state of Florida is discussing shutting this church down, unlike NYC’s commie mayor. Below is the church service from yesterday on Youtube if you want to watch:

Jonathan Turley busts CNN for negative spin on Trump Easter claim

Jonathan Turley hit CNN this morning for their “negative spin” on Trump’s suggestion that he’d like to ‘restart’ the economy by Easter:

CNN is running a headline that Trump “now” claims Easter was aspirational. I have criticized Trump statements but he never said Easter was a firm deadline as opposed to his hope. The unrelentingly negative spin on stories makes it difficult for viewers to trust the media.
— Jonathan Turley (@JonathanTurley) March 30, 2020

Turley says “CNN is running a headline that Trump “now” claims Easter was aspirational. I have criticized Trump statements but he never said Easter was a firm deadline as opposed to his hope. The unrelentingly negative spin on stories makes it difficult for viewers to trust the media.”
He’s right. As soon as Trump mentioned Easter as a possible day for lifting some of these coronavirus restrictions to get the economy back going again, the media ran with it like he’d set it in stone. And when they were reporting it or asking Trump about it, it was always as though he was at odds with his task force over it as if he was forcing it on them despite their disapproval.
It was a media manufactured controversy and now that it’s not going to happen they are claiming Trump is ‘now’ saying it was only aspirational. What a pathetic group of people…

“They do it, we do it” – Trump downplays Chinese, Russian campaign to blame US for coronavirus

This morning Brian Kilmeade asked Trump about a report in the Washington Post that claims Russia, Iran, and China are now working on a sophisticated disinformation campaign to blame the United States for the coronavirus outbreak:

Because it was reported in the Washington Post, Trump first claims that he doesn’t believe it because they reports so much fake news:
“Number one you don’t know what they’re doing, and when you read it in the ‘Washington Post’ you don’t believe it. I believe very little when I see it. I see stories in the ‘Washington Post’ that are so fake and are so phony. I have stories that are such fake stuff and that’s number one.”
When pressed on it by Kilmeade, suggesting that we know China has already done this, Trump downplayed it:
“I said they do it and we do it and we call them different things, and you know, I make statements that are very strong against China, including the Chinese virus, which has been going on for a long time. I mean, I wouldn’t say they were thrilled with that statement, where they said our soldiers did it. They said our soldiers did it. I said you mean the Chinese virus? And all of a sudden they call and they say let’s talk nicely.
Yeah, sure that’s — hey, every country does it but they build it up and we handle that and they probably handle it but countries do that…”
Trump again cast doubt on the accuracy of the article, suggesting reality might be just the opposite…
But when I read things in the ‘Washington Post’ I can tell you stories that they write that are just the opposite. They will do anything they can to hurt this presidency, and yet , here we are with the best numbers we’ve ever had. I don’t even understand it, when you can get such fake news from so many. ‘New York Times’ is a totally dishonest paper, they are dishonest people. ‘Washington Post’ same thing. I’m trying to figure out for three and a half years, who is more dishonest and corrupt, the ‘Washington Post’ or the ‘New York Times’? When I figure it out I’ll let you know. We’ll have a special.”
Trump was upset that the Chinese blamed the Wuhan flu on US soldiers, which he mentioned here again. But he’s clearly not convinced that Russia, Iran, and China are working together to blame the US for it. But even if it is true, he doesn’t seem very concerned about it.

Gov. Andrew Cuomo also heralded the arrival of reinforcements, tweeting a video shot from aboard a New York State Police boat escorting the Comfort.
“The Comfort brings 1,000 much-needed hospital beds & 1,200 personnel to New York,” tweeted Cuomo, who noted that he would receive a briefing upon its arrival at Manhattan’s Pier 90.

GOOD NEWS: The FDA just approved two Chloroquine drugs for treatment of coronavirus

The FDA just approved yesterday the treatment of the coronavirus with two Chloroquine drugs that have been show effective against the virus:
THE HILL – The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) on Sunday issued an emergency-use authorization for a pair of anti-malaria drugs as health officials work to combat the rapid spread of the novel coronavirus.
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) said in a statement that the authorization would allow 30 million doses of hydroxychloroquine sulfate and 1 million doses of chloroquine phosphate to be donated to the Strategic National Stockpile. The doses of hydroxychloroquine sulfate were donated by Sandoz, while the chloroquine phosphate was developed by Bayer Pharmaceuticals.
The products will be “distributed and prescribed by doctors to hospitalized teen and adult patients with COVID-19, as appropriate, when a clinical trial is not available or feasible,” HHS said.

From the actual HHS press release:
“President Trump is taking every possible step to protect Americans from the coronavirus and provide them with hope,” said HHS Secretary Alex Azar. “Scientists in America and around the world have identified multiple potential therapeutics for COVID-19, including chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine. The President’s bold leadership and the hard work of FDA and HHS’s Assistant Secretary for Preparedness and Response have succeeded in securing this large donation of medicine. We’ll continue working around the clock to get American patients access to therapeutics that may help them battle COVID-19, while building the evidence to evaluate which options are effective.”
This is great news, as the drugs had previously only been available to doctors for ‘off-label’ use only. Note, however, that it does say the drugs can be “prescribed by doctors to hospitalized teen and adult patients with COVID-19”. “Hospitalized” is the key word there. In other words, if your local family doctor is prescribing it, it’s still considered ‘off-label’.
We’ve been hearing a lot about ‘stockpiles’ lately. In case you are wondering about the “Strategic National Stockpile”, it is “the nation’s largest supply of life-saving pharmaceuticals and medical supplies for use in a public health emergency severe enough to cause local supplies to run out.” According to their website, “200 federal and contract employees” staff the Strategic National Stockpile.

De Blasio says churches will be closed PERMANENTLY if they don’t comply with coronavirus ban [VIDEO]

Mayor Bill De Blasio is threatening to shut down churches and synagogues permanently if they don’t comply with the order that says no gatherings of ten or more during the coronavirus outbreak in New York city:

De Blasio: churches and synagogues that hold worship services may be closed permanently pic.twitter.com/kdUsdbP2YO
— Matthew Schmitz (@matthewschmitz) March 29, 2020

Here’s more from DC Examiner:
New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio warned religious leaders that their places of worship could be shut down permanently if they did not follow the city’s order to pause services during the coronavirus pandemic.
“A small number of religious communities, specific churches and specific synagogues, are unfortunately not paying attention to this guidance even though it’s so widespread,” the New York Democrat said Friday at his daily press briefing.
“I want to say to all those who are preparing for the potential of religious services this weekend: If you go to your synagogue, if you go to your church and attempt to hold services after having been told so often not to, our enforcement agents will have no choice but to shut down those services,” he added.
De Blasio said that continued resistance of authorities to close religious services could mean a permanent shutdown.
“If that does not happen, they will take additional action up to the point of fines and potentially closing the building permanently,” he said.
It’s one thing to say the city will prevent those churches who don’t comply with holding services, and how unfortunate that would be. It’s another thing entirely, and quite fascist, to threaten the closure of those churches permanently. Especially when, as Hot Air notes, that he’s not threatening to close down parks even though people continue to gather there in much larger numbers.
I’m quite sure New York’s commie mayor doesn’t have the authority to shut down churches permanently even if they do violate the ban, as the constitution guarantees freedom of worship. The fact that De Blasio would even say this, however, should send shivers up every freedom-loving spine in the city.

Financial Post article calls truckers ‘nobodies’ and exposes elitist attitude against workers

The writer for a Financial Post article about truckers in the time of coronavirus is being bashed online because the framing of the article is pretty elitist.

‘From nobodies to essential workers:’ Truckers now key to getting goods on empty shelves in the coronavirus crisis https://t.co/koxHuGuS1P
— National Post (@nationalpost) March 29, 2020

Now, to be fair to her, the headline is a quote, and it is from a trucker who felt underappreciated:
“We went from being nobodies to essential workers,” said Chad Montgomery, also a driver with Challenger Motor Freight. “I’ve never felt appreciated in my job until now. A lot of people don’t realize it takes a truck to get stuff on shelves. If it wasn’t for a truck driver, you would have nothing.”
But, that is not how people are taking it:

@VanmalaS Terrible headline. Whoever put it up maybe should have read it first to realize how it would look and sound. I hope that someone was not you but whoever it was,not very classy at all.Shame on them. https://t.co/qK17sKgzRf
— Karol Grant (@Northerndrums) March 29, 2020

Really.’From nobodies to essential workers.’You couldn’t come up with anything better to call this article. You are praising the truckers and calling them nobodies at the same time.A lot ofthese guys have higher education and this might be their second career.Don’t stereotype.
— Bart Wojciechowski (@bartwojci) March 29, 2020

@VanmalaS should be thanking her lucky stars that truckers are still out there doing everything they can to make this pandemic easier for the rest of us. I think @VanmalaS and @nationpost need to formally apologize to these heros and stop being assholes.
— scarlogo (@scarlogo) March 29, 2020

Article by @VanmalaS
The people who transport our food were NEVER “nobodies.” They were ALWAYS some of the most important HUMAN BEINGS in your life. They are the reason you have milk, eggs, cereal, and coffee in the morning! https://t.co/HgK3ICMBni
— Star Trek: Krennic (@BeingKrennic) March 29, 2020

Again, to be fair to her, the entire article is about people suddenly becoming aware of how dependent our society is on truckers:
He’s also had offers from strangers — upon becoming aware that truck stops have closed down — to eat and freshen up in their homes.
“That kind of appreciation is touching,” Baird said. “I’ve been doing this for 39 years, and my father did this for 54 years. All I ask is to when you see us at a rest stop, say hi, buy us a coffee maybe, know that we care about our jobs and just want to get your stuff to you.”

BUT, on the other hand, read this sentence, and the key word “become”:
Indeed, truckers have become the key cog in the supply chain as grocery stores empty out and hospitals and pharmacies have an ever-increasing need for supplies such as soap, sanitizer, masks, ventilators, and basic flu medication.
Become? Er. NO, they have ALWAYS BEEN the key cog in our supply chain! LOL!
I don’t think this is as egregious as some are making it out to be, but it proves her point – too many people have been incredibly dependent on the work of truckers and others, and they’re all of a sudden finding out about it. Maybe they should have been more appreciative before…

‘Do you think there is blood on the President’s hands?’ asks Chuck Todd

Chuck Todd was trending today because of a ridiculous question that he tried to corral Biden into agreeing with.

NBC’s Chuck Todd is COMPLETELY UNHINGED this morning.
Chuck Todd: “Do you think there is blood on the President’s hands?”
Joe Biden: “I think that’s a little too harsh.”
When Chuck Todd’s attacks on @realDonaldTrump are too much for even Biden, you got a problem. pic.twitter.com/nzm82f8Ghf
— Steve Guest (@SteveGuest) March 29, 2020

That man is lacking of all hinges. Anyway… this is kinda stupid right? Biden has been bashing Trump over the coronavirus response a lot, because that’s what he’s expected to do, but Chuck Todd just posits this statement in order to try to make headlines.
I mean, when even Joe Biden is like, uhm that’s too harsh, you’re probably going too far…

Dem activist fired from cancer center exec job over nasty anti-Trump Facebook posts

Another idiot’s career was seriously damaged over vicious political posts on Facebook, but surprisingly, for once, it’s a Democrat! Laura Krolczyk lost her cushy $220,000 a year job after her post was circulated on Twitter:
Laura Krolczyk, Roswell Park’s vice president for external affairs, was initially placed on administrative leave from her position but was fired following the conclusion of an investigation into her remarks, spokeswoman Annie Deck-Miller confirmed Saturday.
Hauptman Woodward Medical Research Institute has placed Lisa LaTrovato, its director of development, on leave for her comments in the Facebook exchange with Krolczyk, the institute told The Buffalo News.
The institutions acted after the exchange between the two drew criticism once Republican operative Michael Caputo shared it widely through his Twitter account on Friday.
Both Krolczyk and LaTrovato worked for Democratic elected officials before moving into their positions at the medical and research organizations: Krolczyk for Hillary Clinton and Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand and LaTrovato for Louise Slaughter.
Here’s what she said on Facebook:
The exchange – according to screen grabs posted by Caputo – began when Krolczyk posted a link to an article by the Hill news site about the Trump administration’s reluctance to pay $1 billion to General Motors and Ventec for ventilator production.
Krolczyk shared the article with a comment: “Vote Trump.”
LaTrovato responded: “But will waste more than that on a wall and space force.”
Krolczyk replied: “Trump supporters need to pledge to give up their ventilators for someone else … and not go to the hospital.”
LaTrovato responded: “I think they should be the only ones in packed churches on Sunday.”
Krolczyk then said: “They should barricade themselves in there and ride this out.”
LaTrovato replied: “Yup.”

Here’s one of the tweets that helped take her down:

Lisa LaTrovato is a former Louise Slaughter and Monroe County Legislature Democratic Caucus staffer who went to Gates Chili and MCC. Laura Krolczyk is the vice president of external affairs at Roswell Park. And this is what they think of Republicans. pic.twitter.com/3NmVYOlH8s
— Bob Lonsberry (@BobLonsberry) March 27, 2020

But that’s not all!! There’s more:
Later, another Facebook user wrote: “Wow, just wow, so your saying we decide who lives and dies based on political views? Great plan (thumbs up emoji).”
Krolczyk responsed: “That’s literally what he’s saying. Take your ‘wow’ and comprehend what your hero is saying. Your hero is saying YOU don’t need a ventilator. So don’t take one.”
Krolczyk added: “Also don’t cash your stimulus check. It’s all a hoax. Chew some ibuprofen and be on with your day.”
Can you imagine having a person with that attitude in power at a center helping people deal with cancer? Would you feel comfortable as a Trump supporter using their servicces?
It’s interesting that she thought she could get away with insulting Trump supporters and not face any consequences. Now she is out of a job over it…

More evidence China is lying about coronavirus in Wuhan: incinerators and cremations

Count us among those not surprised. Even though the media loved to report that China has its coronavirus pandemic under control, there’s mounting evidence that the laying communist totalitarian regime is surprise surprise LYING about their dead. From Radio Free Asia:
As authorities lifted a two-month coronavirus lockdown in the central Chinese city of Wuhan, residents said they were growing increasingly skeptical that the figure of some 2,500 deaths in the city to date was accurate.
Since the start of the week, seven large funeral homes in Wuhan have been handing out the cremated remains of around 500 people to their families every day, suggesting that far more people died than ever made the official statistics.
“It can’t be right … because the incinerators have been working round the clock, so how can so few people have died?” an Wuhan resident surnamed Zhang told RFA on Friday.
“They started distributing ashes and starting interment ceremonies on Monday,” he said.
Now this is a double-sided sword, right? If they have it under control, then that means it’s not as bad as we thought, and perhaps we can get it under control in the West too. On the other hand, if they’re really lying, and the numbers of infected and dead are way worse than they’re letting on, that isn’t great news for the rest of the world. More:
Seven funeral homes currently serve Wuhan — a huge conurbation of three cities: Hankou, Wuchang and Hanyang.
Social media users have been doing some basic math to figure out their daily capacity, while the news website Caixin.com reported that 5,000 urns had been delivered by a supplier to the Hankou Funeral Home in one day alone — double the official number of deaths.
Some social media posts have estimated that all seven funeral homes in Wuhan are handing out 3,500 urns every day in total.
Funeral homes have informed families that they will try to complete cremations before the traditional grave-tending festival of Qing Ming on April 5, which would indicate a 12-day process beginning on March 23.
Such an estimate would mean that 42,000 urns would be given out during that time.

I have seen a video going around that is supposed to show workers shoveling cellphones from those incinerated in Wuhan. That appears to be faked – the video existed from before the virus struck.
Here’s an estimate of the actual numbers, if China is lying:
Another popular estimate is based on the cremation capacity of the funeral homes, which run a total of 84 furnaces with a capacity over 24 hours of 1,560 urns city-wide, assuming that one cremation takes one hour.
This calculation results in an estimated 46,800 deaths.
A resident of Hubei province, of which Wuhan is the capital, said most people there now believe that more than 40,000 people died in the city before and during the lockdown.
Of course, that’s just a guess. But given that we don’t even know precisely how many China MURDERED during the Tiananmen Square massacre, I’m not gonna hold my breath for accurate numbers here either….

‘This would be a declaration of war on states…a federal declaration of war’ – Cuomo on Trump quarantine

Andrew Cuomo told CNN that if Trump went along with his plan to “quarantine” New York, New Jersey and Connecticut that it would be a federal declaration of war against the states.

Gov. Cuomo on possibility Trump will impose enforced quarantine on New York: “This would be a declaration of war on states.” pic.twitter.com/7rCFHMWzTh
— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) March 28, 2020

Dang. Libs turned all pro-States Rights pretty quick, didn’t they?!
So here’s the deal, a lot of people are blowing this quote out of proportion. If you watch the entire interview, you can tell that Cuomo is downplaying even the possibility that Trump might do that:
[embedded content]
UNfortunately there are WAY TOO many keyboard warriors out there eager to yell “COME AND TAKE ITTT!!” at the drop of a caps lock key, and so this stuff gets a little nuts.
First of all, as they point out in the CNN video, we’re not even sure what Trump means by “quarantine” because he was very unclear about it. Does he mean a total lockdown? How would that even happen? No one knows.
Cuomo gives a tons of reasons why Trump isn’t gonna drop the hammer on New York, and he sounds like he’s really trying to persuade him against it. Trump promised to make a decision one or the other today, and so far, there has been no decision. In fact, Cuomo has been actually very quick to give Trump credit when it’s due so far, and the same has been true of Trump for Cuomo.

SO put away them AR-15s, no civil war today, sorry. And wash your hands.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~
That should be it for Saturday unless a second Civil War breaks out, so go ahead and have an open thread. Here’s some comment fodder to consider for your quarantine musings:

China is supplying masks that don’t work, and countries all over the world are using them

The media just loves the fact that the U.S. was experiencing a shortage of some coronavirus medical products, while China was appearing to sell and donate those supplies to many countries.

https://t.co/M2WuoebCYO
— Chris Hayes (@chrislhayes) March 23, 2020

Notice, that is a the NEW YORK TIMES report being pushed by an MSNBC host.

Well, we’re getting more and more evidence that China is peddling fake masks, and it’s gonna HELP spread coronavirus instead of impeding it:

The Dutch government has launched a recall of 100,000s of masks purchased from China because they do not meet quality standards and offer inadequate protection.https://t.co/C7K3nSqpxH

And also kits….

— sharon obrien egritepe (@Sobrienegritepe) March 28, 2020

From Taiwan News:
A Czech news site on Monday (March 23) revealed that 80 percent of the much-touted traunch of Wuhan coronavirus (COVID-19) rapid test kits “donated” from China are faulty, forcing healthcare workers to rely on conventional laboratory tests.
On March 18, as is the case with many of its other quasi charitable acts, Chinese state-run mouthpieces used the verbs “supplied” and “delivered” to give the impression that the communist regime was donating 150,000 portable, rapid COVID-19 test kits to the Czech Republic. In fact, the central European nation’s Health Ministry paid some 14 million crowns (US$546,000) for 100,000 test kits, while the country’s Interior Ministry footed the bill for another 50,000, reported Expats.cz.
However, Czech news site iROZHLAS on Monday revealed that local healthcare workers have discovered that up to 80 percent of the Chinese kits give false results. During a crisis staff meeting held for the Moravian-Silesian Region by regional hygienist Pavla Svrcinova, the error rate for the test kits was found to be 80 percent, prompting officials to suggest they only be used for those persons who are nearing the end of their quarantine and never previously tested positive.
According to Svrcinova, the Moravian-Silesian Region will continue to rely on conventional laboratory testing instead. Currently, only 900 such tests can be processed each day.
Now, most of the time, I say don’t look for conspiracy theories when simple incompetence can explain the behavior seeing. This is true most of the time. But in this case, when the offender has a PATTERN of lying, and covering up, and a PATTERN of conspiring against the west, well, I don’t think it’s a conspiracy theory, it’s a very plausible conspiracy that needs to be investigated.

Twitter allows Chinese pandemic propaganda, but deletes Rudy Giuliani tweet on coronavirus

So today we have another example of Twitter’s hypocrisy and double standards. Here’s what happened:

It appears Twitter has removed coronavirus tweets from @RudyGiuliani and @charliekirk11 for violating the platform’s rules https://t.co/lsChVM9CQm
— Oliver Darcy (@oliverdarcy) March 28, 2020

Twitter spox confirms to me that both @RudyGiuliani and @charliekirk11’s accounts were “temporarily locked for violating the Twitter Rules regarding COVID-19 misinformation.”
— Oliver Darcy (@oliverdarcy) March 28, 2020

Here’s the tweet:

Now look, I’m defending Kirk or Giuliani, it seems to me that is kinda stupid propaganda that is just false.
Fact: those are not facts. Kirk and Giuliani appear to be riffing on an article posted by conspiracy blogger Jim Hoft of Gateway Pundit, and which falsely claims that:
“Hydroxychloroquine is safe and in at least three international tests was found 100% effective in treating the coronavirus.” — There have been extremely limited studies that aren’t scientifically significant, neither of which show the drug to be “100% effective.” One of the studies showed no benefit at all from the treatment.
“Michigan Democrat Governor Gretchen Whitmer is the latest Democrat to ban doctors from prescribing the lifesaving drugs hydroxychloroquine and Z-Paks to save senior citizens in the state.” — Like many states, Michigan is warning prescribers not to hoard the medications for themselves by improperly self-prescribing.
It’s literally the first sentence in the warning letter:
The Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs has received multiple allegations of Michigan physicians inappropriately prescribing hydroxychloroquine or chloroquine to themselves, family, friends, and/or coworkers without a legitimate medical purpose.
BUT, they definitely allow that kinda crap to flow freely if it’s coming from China. You either apply the same standard to all, or let the crap flow freely.

VIDEO: WHO official accidentally shows how scared they are of upsetting China

There’s a lot of question about whether the World Health Organization is trustworthy these days, given just how badly they appear to have screwed up their response to coronavirus. This video isn’t gonna help:

Bruce Aylward of the World Health Organization refuses to answer any questions about Taiwan or why they’re banned from the WHO. China controls the WHO. pic.twitter.com/uLXGvuZne4
— Ian Miles Cheong (@stillgray) March 28, 2020

I could see that maybe he didn’t hear her question the first time. But then he just straight up refuses to answer and then hangs up. How else do you explain this other than the WHO is scared crapless of offending China?
In fact, Taiwan has been accusing the WHO of being beholden to China, and they may have some reason to believe so.
On the other hand, Dr. Anthony Fauci the other day vouched for the trustworthiness of the head of the WHO:

“Tedros (@DrTedros) is really an outstanding person. I’ve known him from the time he was a Minister of Health in #Ethiopia… I think under his leadership, [the WHO] has done very well. He’s been all over this [the #coronavirus outbreak].”Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of US NIAID pic.twitter.com/vPycF9dIQH
